The most important thing is having a valid work permit and the best options are a British / European passport or Grandparents from Europe which allows candidates to apply for an ancestral visa. The option of getting an employer sponsored work permit is very difficult as it means the employer needs to pay a work permit company around £1,000 in fees before they have a work permit and can offer the job; this puts most employers off.
