We are looking for a Service Desk Team Leader / Manager to run a team of 4 hardware / infrastructure support engineers for a software house based in Kidderminster. Previous experience of managing or team leading a group of staff in an outsourcing / consultancy / software house environment is essential; this will not suit someone doing internal support at an end user. The role is to be Team Leader / Manager of 4 hardware / infrastructure engineers, managing their workloads and schedules, planning the technical calendar and assigning jobs. You will oversee the booking process for sales jobs, contract calls, configuration and repair work to ensure the right person is assigned to each job. You will also manage more complex jobs to ensure the clients are kept happy and informed and create an environment of respect. Some of your time will still be hands-on going out on site to pre-install meetings and maintaining and installing hardware and infrastructure. Excellent career progression as you recruit and grow the team. You need to be within 30 minutes commuting distance of Kidderminster and most of their clients are within an hour's drive. As well as proven service desk management or team leading, your technical skills will include: * Windows Servers * Infrastructure * Firewalls, workstations, scanners and printers * Client facing experience * On site installation You will play a key management role in the training, development and growth of the team, and can also expect to be out on client site 1 or 2 days a week.
