- Description
- New role for a Junior Project Manager / Senior Project Co-Ordinator looking to progress quickly with a highly regarded and well respected software reseller. Experience of managing software projects is essential, running application software such as ERP, HR & Payroll, Accounting or Finance software, Time & Attendance, MRP, CRM, Document Management, Construction or Property software, Pensions or Insurance software or similar business focused solutions. Starting salary from £35 - £40k plus car allowance, bonus, private health care and pension based on your level of experience, with regular reviews. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving software consultancy and become a full blown Project Manager. The company is located near Fleet and Farnborough, convenient for the M3 and A31 and you will be office based as well as spending time on client sites handling objectives, expectations and conflict. This Junior Project Manager / Senior Project Co-Ordinator role is with an ERP software consulting company who specialise in flexible ERP, Finance, e-Commerce and Document Management software. They are professional with structured project management methodologies, they are great employers and they look after their clients and their staff very well. Typical projects are 80-500 consulting days with consultancy and software development combined. They need someone who is very good at working with clients; you will hopefully be focused, bright, and well-organised with strong application software knowledge. They are looking for someone who has worked as a Junior Project Manager (or Senior Project Co-Ordinator) in a software company and is particularly good with clients, agreeing project objectives, organising resources, carrying out risk assessment, ensuring quality standards are met, and overseeing costings and billings. You should be happy going on site and having the difficult conversations about client expectations, project creep and budget constraints. Of course the more closely you manage your projects, the less difficult discussions you will need to have. You will also provide project progress reports, create schedules and look after risk logs. To start with you will be running simpler and smaller projects - this will mean running the client meetings, planning the projects, and setting client expectations. You will work in a small team of 2 under a Senior PM, with a Project Co-Ordinator who manages internal issues, the diaries, coordinates activities and looks after the diaries. As a Junior Project Manager you will attend on-site meetings, liaise with your clients, manage the Implementation Consultants, manage workshops, create business process documents, and maintain high levels of communication with stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of software implementation projects and that they are completed on time and to budget. Candidate Profile: *An Application Software background essential such as ERP, Payroll, Accounting, MIS, HR, Manufacturing, Dealer Management, Payments, Time & Attendance, Construction, Property, Pensions software, Document Management, CRM or similar application software *Knowledge of software tools for project management (Excel/ MS project) *Strong analytical skills and knowledge of business processes *Able to communicate professionally and confidently with clients face to face and on the phone *Experienced in application software projects, progress reports, project scheduling, risk logs *Enthusiastic, well organised, good time management and attention to detail *Great communication and team working skills and able to build strong client relationships *Excel experience *MS Project, Prince II (or other project management) practitioner or foundation qualifications would be a bonus This is a chance to join a busy, professional software company, to show your value in helping projects run smoothly on time and to budget, and to become a full ERP Software Project Manager. If you are a keen Junior Project Manager with applications software expertise, and you are ready to take the next step in your career, please contact Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis as soon as possible, or send us a copy of an up-to-date CV for more details.
