- Description
This highly regarded and hugely successful ERP software company, needs at least one HR Consultant or HCM Implementation Consultant for the team, possibly two. The job is remote, working from home in the UK and out on client sites; Friday is always a work from home day across the business.
They are looking for a self-driven, motivated, energetic, and ambitious HCM Consultant with excellent verbal & written English, strong knowledge of HR and HCM applications, who can confidently guide clients through scoping, running workshops, gathering requirements, configuring the solution, and successfully rolling it out.
Most projects are £250k plus so there is normally plenty of opportunity for you to engage with other Consultants and Project Manager and stay in the same hotel and socialise when you are on projects away from home. Salary to £50k plus a 10% bonus, and very generous car allowance of £6500 pa. This is a fabulous company that is professional, but has very informal hierarchies, values diversity, and serves world class clients with its 4,000 global employees.
You will have full responsibility for all functionality of HCM and HR projects with customers who are going through the implementation process. You will bridge the gap between business processes and the solution, listening to your clients and daring to challenge where necessary, to understand their real needs.
The job is primarily HR and HCM related; their software has recently been re-released into the cloud and the new version does not have a payroll module, but there are some legacy customers who will still need some assistance with the payroll side. You would be joining a team of 6 Consultants who work on the HCM side, covering UK and southern and western Europe, alongside 75 other ERP Consultants. There is very little international travel as most consulting work is done remotely.
The HCM module is flexible and intuitive and covers all the standard HR functionalities including talent management, competency sourcing, compliance, health & safety, travel management, employee administration, time & attendance, value of labour, organisational & reporting structures, employee training & development, performance management, self-service kiosks, and recruitment. One of the tricky bits is time & attendance, because this integrates with their main ERP solution and links to the scheduling solutions for manufacturing and service management. This can take a lot of thought and planning to ensure the rules are robust and sensible.
Projects are typically 18 months. For the HR projects a lot depends on whether the client is using the core ERP solution or if the HR modules are being integrated to something like Workday. For complex projects an HR Implementation Consultant here could spend 2 days a week on a project for up to a year. This role offers the HR Implementation consultant a chance to be involved in a full ERP implementation, seeing how all the modules fit together and having a chance to work on other modules, as the business actively encourage everyone to learn at least 2 modules of the ERP solution.
The stability of the team gives you an indication of how good these guys are to work for; they have incredible staff retention, 65% of their employees have worked for them for over 5 years and nearly 40% have been there over 10 years. In the software industry these are quite extraordinary figures and genuinely reflect what an amazing place this is to work, where you are valued, developed, recognised, and promoted, plus given a chance to enjoy life and your work environment.
The man at the top of the business is a thought leader and cloud software expert who is a real visionary and empowers people and teams to perform at their best. He has taken the company to new heights in the 5 years since he joined, and if you are an ambitious HR or HCM Implementation Consultant, we can't think of a better place to work.
