Description

This new role could be for an experienced finance or accounting software Implementation Consultant, skilled with any mid-market accounting or finance solution. But it could also be a job for an accountant who has some systems skills and has worked with Epicor as the main solution and is keen to move into consulting and software implementation.

This company would be very interested at looking at that type of background, and at Systems Accountants who have been part of finance software implementations, they are very open minded as long as you have good accounting and finance experience, excellent communication, and can connect well with clients and talk to them about their finance processes.

If you are a motivated accounting and finance person with systems skills, this is a great chance to work on Epicor projects in a demanding but very rewarding role that will see you learn all the complexities of the finance functions of the Epicor ERP solution.

The package is up to £55k, plus car allowance and annual bonus. Remote working from home, with UK travel as and when required, but there is far less travel to client sites now than there used to be.

As an ERP solution, Epicor is very prominent, especially in the manufacturing markets. It is also very strong as a finance solution and covers multi-company, multi-currency consolidation. It's budgeting and forecasting areas are superb and offer both top down and bottom up budgeting and it is an excellent ERP tool for creating custom reports. It is an interesting software solution to work with and would be a great addition to your skill set.

They would also be interested in talking to you if you know one of the very early versions of Epicor. The modern version 10.2 is a combination of the functionality of the ERP solutions Epicor have acquired over 20 years and integrated together which include Epicor iScala, Scala, Epicor Enterprise, Epicor Vantage and Epicor Platinum. Epicor 10.2 shares the financials from Scala which include the bookkeeping concepts and the Dynamics segments.

So if you are an Implementation Consultant or Systems Accountant right now you may be working with competitor solutions such as SAP Business One, SunSystems, Dynamics NAV, Coda Dream, UNIT4 Business World, Sage X3, PS Financials, SAP Business ByDesign, Dynamics AX, Exchequer, Open Accounts, Greentree, Infor, Access Dimensions, Sage 200 or PS Financials.

You are someone who can talk to FD's about aspects of finance such as ledgers, management accounts, project accounting, consolidations etc and how their accounting should be set up. You're familiar with multi-company and multi-currency accounts and you confident in your skills and ability to understand the clients' accounting functions. You may also have accounting qualifications or be QBE.

There is a huge demand for Epicor skills in the UK and globally. Experienced Epicor Consultants are paid up to £75k base in the Epicor space, so as far as your career and your future go, this is a great product to learn. This thriving mid-sized software company is run by a couple of great guys who know what they are doing and run the business sensibly. They don't hire and fire, people like working there it is a stable solid place to work. Project management is strong here and provides significant support to the consulting & implementation team, and the implementation methods they use and well tried & tested with clear project objectives and project plans.

More and more projects are being done remotely than ever before. This has created a huge cost saving in hotel and travel expenses and a real saving in the time that ERP Consultants used to spend on the road, and clients have found it a more productive way to work too. So, it is likely that the bulk of your implementation and consulting role will be remote, but there will still be a need sometimes to travel to your clients when appropriate. You can live anywhere south of the Scottish borders, to the South or West or East coasts of England.

If you think this is for you, get in touch with Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg or drop us your CV.
