Description

If you an enthusiastic Application Support Consultant with experience of supporting clients with their accounting software queries, or you have worked with accounting software in an accounts department, and you're technically savvy and keen to move into software support, then this is a terrific company to join. Someone in the application support team, has moved across to another division, so they need to replace them with a new addition.

This is a flexible home and office-based role for an Application Support Analyst who is customer focused, has good problem-solving skills, and can communicate with people in non-technical language and be patient and understanding with their questions. To £27k plus large company benefits. You will probably go into the office 5 to 7 days a month near Windsor, or you can be based at the office full time if you prefer.

The job is with a leading global software provider and their product is an ERP solution with a big element of accounting, payroll, workforce management & HR to it. You will provide software support to a large client base across the UK. Their application support team is currently 23 people, 4 of whom specialise in accounts software queries.

You will be responsible for responding to client calls and emails, logging your support cases, documenting errors, investigating bugs in the software, and providing solutions to their accounting queries, or escalating your cases to 2nd or 3rd line support where required. You will troubleshoot software problems, identify the root causes, and test the solutions. Plus, you'll get involved in client training and documentation for the users.

Profile:

  • Experience as an ERP or Finance Application Support Analyst with accounting knowledge, or a background in an accounts department and keen interest in technology support
  • You can interrogate problems, investigate root causes and work through queries
  • You communicate empathetically with non-technical people and can explain accounting problems in a simple way
  • Calm and personable on the telephone and able to write effective professional emails
  • Patient and understanding when dealing with accounting software queries
  • An inquisitive mind and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Motivated, outgoing, and able to work under pressure
  • Happy to assist with client training and user documentation
  • Any knowledge of the commercial construction or house building industries, or facilities management would be useful
