Description

As a Customer Success Manager with this busy ERP software company, you will manage a portfolio of customers who have purchased their enterprise software solutions with the goal of supporting the customer from the beginning of each project through onboarding, technology adoption and implementation, and spotting opportunities for them to expand their usage. The job is hybrid working from home and the office, so you will need to live within about an hour of Manchester for easy access to their offices. Salary to £42k plus benefits, including an on-site gym, private medical, life assurance, and retailer discount scheme.

The company is a leader in ERP and accounting software solutions, with a history spanning 4 decades and around 300 staff. This is a newly created role for someone to build and manage relationships with their client base on a solution that they have added to their portfolio, working with the consulting manager, pre-sales consultants, marketing and sales teams, and application support and development people. It's a fantastic opportunity; your career is likely to be fast tracked as the client base grows, and you will be expected to grow a team of Customer Success Managers over the next few years.

You will become a trusted advisor to their customers, gaining insight, offering recommendations, and providing the support they need. You'll be their first contact at project kick-off, and through each key stage of implementation projects, to go-live, monitoring problems, keeping an eye on project time scales, and their support tickets, to ensure that the customer has a great journey whilst transitioning to new software.

Your background:

  • Solid background in a customer success role or client facing position, supporting, and nurturing customers, within a business software environment
  • A keen interest in business technology and an understanding of what is required to keep the customer happy through the challenge of a software implementation project
  • Passionate about customer service and customer care, and building loyalty
  • You can create strategies that will decrease customer churn, increase lifetime value, and improve their journey
  • Able to set and manage customer expectations realistically and work with clients to help them realise their business goals
  • Tech-savvy, able to analyse information, knowledge of ERP or accounting solutions would be a bonus
  • Worked with application software, possibly in a support, analysis, implementation, or onboarding role
  • Able to build long lasting relationships and turn your customers into advocates of the software
  • Professional, a good listener and a brilliant problem solver, tactful, tactical, and calm under pressure

They will give you plenty of help to develop into this new role and shape the future of customer success management across the company. There's a good vibe here, lots of people have had long term careers, and there are plenty of opportunities to collaborate, plus have fun at social events. They appreciate and reward staff and relish and recognise your ideas and input.
