Software Implementation Consultant, Accounting, Finance, ERP - £40-£55k + £5k car allowance

If you are a well-educated, switched on and enthusiastic Implementation Consultant or Professional Services Consultant who has functional skills implementing Finance / Accounting or ERP Software (with accounting modules) for a consultancy, reseller or software vendor, then these are probably the top jobs we have seen this year, working for one of the leading ERP and accounting software companies in the world.

You will get exposure to much bigger projects here, and they are looking for possibly 6 more Consultants to join their workforce. They are after top candidates who want to fast track their career, learn from the best and work on great projects and they will pay you very well to move here: base salary of £40-55k, with a £5k car allowance, 25 days' holiday, bonus scheme, private health, share scheme and incentives.

You will ideally be degree educated, with evidence of good career progression in the finance, accounting or ERP software consulting and implementation field and if you have good SQL or SQL Server, this will all be an added bonus. If you are an ERP Consultant, then you do need strong knowledge of the accounting modules within ERP.

You should be able to handle the full software implementation life cycle which will include analysing requirements and business processes, software configuration to fit needs, documentation, data migration, implementation, user training, go-live and hand holding. You build and manage strong relationships with your clients and colleagues, you are an excellent communicator, personable, friendly and approachable.

This is a superb chance for an Implementation Consultant or PS Consultant with good finance and accounting experience to cross train to Sage ERP X3 - the leading high end mid-market ERP product which continues to go from strength to strength. The rise of the Sage ERP X3 solution has been fantastic and the product is in a phenomenal growth phase.

Over the next 10 years some ERP products will rise and some will flounder but Sage ERP X3 will be the one that continues to move forward as Sage continues to invest heavily in its development. This means more jobs in the market, better future opportunities for you and better salaries. X3 is a high end complex ERP product for the mid-market; the solution sells for between £100k and £1 million, with typical deals being around the £500k mark. You will get full training on the X3 product at the Sage University and will shadow a consultant before taking on your own projects.

A lot of your time will naturally be spent on client site, with one or two days in the office and the occasional day working from home, so you must be happy to travel and live in reasonable commuting distance of the Berkshire area. You will report to the Professional Services Manager and will be passionate about finance and ERP software and providing a high level of client satisfaction.

Sage ERP X3 is probably one of the best software skills you can acquire for really good long term employment over the next 10 years or so. This is a unique opportunity to cross train to the product professionally, work for a top ten UK employer with over 2,000 staff and have an excellent structured career path.
