Description

ERP Consultants, Professional Services Consultants with ERP or Accounting software, Implementation Consultants with strong ERP or Accounting software skills - new position.

This is an exciting and meaty role working on large projects of up to 250 days consulting for a global ERP consultancy who are authors of their own integrated full suite ERP solution and are recognised year-on-year as leaders in Enterprise Resource Planning and Enterprise Asset Management software. With over 2,500 employees and a track record spanning more than 30 years they are here for the long term. Career prospects are unbeatable here in the UK and if you fancy working overseas in the future, they can probably accommodate that too.

They are looking for a highly experienced ERP Consultant who is positive, organised, motivated and thrives working under pressure in a busy environment. This is a home based position - realistically you can live anywhere from County Durham to the Midlands, to London, the South Coast, East Anglia or the West Country. Scotland and Cornwall might be pushing it a little in terms of where their client base is located. Starting salary from £42-52,000, plus 10% bonus, car allowance of £5,500 p.a., home working allowance, health care, and full fuel allowance. They operate a 4+1 week; 4 days on client site and one day a week from your home office, with occasional visits to head office.

They need someone with a consulting / reseller / vendor / software house background rather than someone who is implementing software in an internal end user role. Strong client facing experience is essential as well as a great command of written and spoken English. You will have a logical mind with a practical approach and a drive to see your projects successfully through to completion.

Ideally you will have good knowledge of the finance and accounting modules of ERP solutions (general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable etc.), but they will also look at ERP Consultants with strong experience of other modules such as distribution, manufacturing, warehouse management and supply chain (their ERP solution has more than 40 modules). You need to have worked on large scale ERP projects of at least 100 man days and preferably 200.

You will play an integral role in their software implementation team; the projects are large enough that you will work alongside other consultants much of the time, so there is a lot of collaboration and cooperation. Your responsibilities will cover the full life cycle including requirements capture, regular workshops, business process analysis, functional specifications, software configuration, testing, documentation, user training, data migration, software implementation and trouble shooting.

Your background will include ERP or Accounting Solutions such as Epicor, Infor M3, Dynamics AX, Agresso, Sage ERP X3, Sage 1000, Dynamics NAV, SAP Business One, JBA, Exact, IFS, NetSuite, Infor XA, Dynamics GP, JDE, Coda, Syspro, OpenAccounts, COINS, Kerridge, Access Dimensions or similar.

This is a very successful, professional and profitable global software business. They have an 8-part consultancy training course which will really hone every aspect of your ERP consulting and structured software implementation skills and give you full knowledge of their product and solutions.

People enjoy working here because it is very well organised, the projects are large and interesting, they get to work on projects from start to finish, and there is a real sense of fulfilment from leaving their clients with a fully functioning ERP solution that greatly improves the running of their businesses. They also love it here because the company is run by decent, honest people with integrity who show their appreciation of you and allow you to grow and flourish.
