- Description
This is an interesting role for an ERP Software Trainer or for an ERP Super User or ERP Support Consultant to move into the software training side. You will mainly be based at the company's offices in Hemel Hempstead where they have a dedicated training room for their clients, but you will also have to travel to your clients from time to time to train customers on site. Salary from £26-30k plus 5 weeks' holiday, pension and insurance.
Our client is a very well regarded business software consultancy who develop their own integrated ERP solution for a niche market which they sell very successfully to the SME sector. They employ around 50 staff and turnover around £3.5 million p.a. and have been established for over 20 years. Currently they have 35 projects in the pipeline and the earliest they can start a new project is 6 months from now, which shows how successful, busy and profitable they are.
They have a team of ERP Software Implementation Consultants and these Consultants are backed up by the Software Trainers who provide all the training on the full ERP solution and its modules. The job is to deliver the training courses depending on what module the customer is using; these cover many areas and modules of the software including:
- Sales
- Purchasing
- Order processing
- Stock control
- CRM
- Accounting and ledgers
- Ecommerce
- EDI
The training courses are already written so the job needs someone who really enjoys training people and has a solid understanding of ERP software and the functions that ERP software has. Whilst you are training clients, you might be asked how to do an accrual or how to add a stock item, or how to run a trial balance, so you need to have an understanding of how ERP software works, to deliver the training properly.
That means that your background might be as an ERP Software Trainer. But you may also be an ERP super user in an internal role, or you may be an ERP Support Consultant who would love to work in software training, OR you might be an ERP Implementation Consultant who wants an office based role will very little travel. There are opportunities to move into project management or software implementation in the future, however the company has found that many people really enjoy the software training aspect and just stick at it.
If you need to travel to client sites occasionally, you will get a hire car for any journey over 100 miles return.
So if you are an ERP software super user or trainer or support consultant, then please give us a call or send over your CV to Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg. This is a hugely enjoyable role and a superb company and product to work with.
