Description

ERP Implementation Consultant for a thriving reseller where you will be given plenty of autonomy once you have learned the ropes. They are looking for an experienced ERP Software Implementation Consultant who has worked with any of the mid-market ERP solutions. A broad salary range is on offer from £32-45k plus £5k car allowance, private health care and life assurance. The role is based from home so you don't need to live near Newbury (we have to put a location in all adverts)! Anywhere south of Leeds to the West Country or the South Coast would be a good location for you.

This software implementation role is focused on an ERP solution which is a functionally rich mid-market software product. It sells especially well in the mid-market sector and covers Finance (invoicing, ledgers, AR, AP, fixed assets, foreign currency) Manufacturing (bill of materials, orders, MRP, forecasting) CRM, BI, Supply Chain (inventory management, purchasing, sales, EDI) Payroll & HR, Service Management and Mobile.

The accounting module consists of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets, so it would be good if you also have some experience of working with the accounting or finance module of an ERP solution.

It was designed as a new generation of ERP product and from a user perspective it is much richer with amazing reporting and dashboarding functions, plus the reporting is superb. Companies often buy it because it does the ERP bit really well, but all the reporting is already available.

They sell their ERP product into the service management market, (also called Field Service) market which is for people whose role is based driving around in vans repairing and maintaining equipment. The product has excellent mobile & tablet functionality including workflow, sales, servicing, mobile inventory control, alerts, timesheets and photo storage. The product sits on MS SQL Server and comes either as an on-premise or cloud-based solution.

As an ERP Implementation Consultant here, you will initially shadow one of the experienced consultants, there are 3 currently. Then you will start doing your own projects which will typically be software implementations for 5 to 50 users.

Once you are established you will do most of the project yourself and you will have the autonomy to decide how things should be done. So quite often you will be talking to clients about the product functionality and trying to help decide what business processes should change and what needs to be bespoke. The degree of freedom that they give experienced Implementation Consultants here is unusual and this is one of the reasons why people tend to stay for a good length of time.

So you will have gained client facing Software Implementation and Consulting skills working with ERP software and / or similar products i.e. Infor, Kerridge, MS Dynamics NAV or GP, SAP Business One, Sage 200, Unit4 Agresso, Sage 500, Aptean, Pegasus Opera, Greentree, Protean, Syspro, DMS, Pinewood, eFacs, COINS, Exact etc.

You will be home based travelling to client sites in the UK. A lot of the projects are around the South East of England but you could work on projects anywhere in the UK.
