Description

ERP Software Implementation Consultant role near Bexleyheath in Kent / South London / Essex / Surrey borders. This is to work for a company who provide affordable and flexible ERP solutions to meet the needs of manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, packers and service companies across the food & beverage, electrical & electronic and consumer markets. Salary to £45k plus bonus, £4k car allowance and private healthcare.

The majority of clients are heavy on the distribution side with stock traceability as a key functionality, and the company mainly sells much of the software solution to food and drink manufacturers and distributors rather than traditional manufacturing companies.

They are split up into the following teams: Sales, Marketing, Pre-Sales, Project Management,
Implementation & Consulting, Technical Development and Application Support staff.

Their ERP product covers accounting & finance, stock control, warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing and it is also now available as a Cloud solution as well as on premise. The core product is developed in SQL Server and .Net. The Implementation Consultant role covers:

  • Requirements gathering
  • Workshops
  • Specification for the developers
  • Report Writing using their report writing tool
  • ERP Implementation
  • User Training
  • Go-live
  • Project Management

Projects are anything from 10 to 100 days consulting and from 10 users up to 100 concurrent users. A typical week would be 3 days on client site, a day in the office and a day working from home and a typical deal here is £50,000, so £25,000 in software and licenses and £25,000 in consulting services.

As an ERP Consultant you will start on smaller projects that are 10 days' implementation & consultancy. You will do the workshops, the configuration and the set-up of the ERP software, not the technical installation though, that is another team. Then you will do the training and the go-live. Once you are familiar with the software you will move onto bigger projects that range up to 80 days.

You will be joining an established team of ERP Implementation Consultants who have a wealth of project experience. What is nice is that you will often work in the office for 1 - 2 days every week so you will get to know the other ERP Consultants and have a chance to improve your skills. You will be on site 2 - 3 days a week and will need to stay away one night each week on average.
You will be in the office with developers, marketing, sales people and all other departments so you will have the chance to get involved in the ongoing development of the ERP software functionality and how it can be improved.

You need to be able to demonstrate full life cycle ERP software implementation skills, you are happy working in a client facing role, and you are happy travelling to client sites 2 to 3 days a week. If you have any experience of distribution or manufacturing, then this will be a bonus. Ideally you will live in the Kent, Surrey, Sussex, London or Essex areas.

This is a terrific opportunity for an ERP Consultant to join a busy UK software company that is well established (25 years), still growing, and has a fantastic client retention rate of almost 100%.
