Description

Logistics Software, WMS and / or ERP Software Channel Sales Manager - Liverpool based, flexibility for some home working, but you will also have to spend a fair amount of time in the office in Liverpool. A competitive package is on offer, with base salary to £50k, OTE of £90k plus car allowance.

You will have a strong track record of success in exceeding sales targets with ERP or Logistics software partners and proven negotiation skills, with the ability to influence others at all levels, and the ability to network confidently across channel and end user markets.

This is a well-known and well-respected group of software companies with around 80 staff in the UK, and very profitable. They sell two mainstream ERP solutions, plus WMS software, and their own Logistics software and have offices in Liverpool and London.

This role is for a Channel Manager for their multi-site, multi-warehouse logistics software. It has a lot of existing functionality and covers:

  • Warehouse Management
  • Transport Management
  • Order Management
  • Fleet Management
  • Web Portals
  • ePOD
  • Track and Trace
  • Sign on Glass
  • Dashboarding

Their software is a market leader in the logistics space and they win business by selling it directly, they also cross sell into their ERP customers as the software integrates well with the two ERP solutions they provide.

The job of Channel Manager is to work with the telematics partners that sell their logistics solution. These are specialist telematics software providers and your job will be to nurture the relationships, build trust, help with demonstrations and presentations and facilitate them selling the group solutions.

You will develop new business through the recruitment of channel partners, and win, sign, enable and manage key partners as well as liaising between partners and the company's internal teams, providing a single point-of-contact for the partner relationships.

The role:

Identifying and reaching out to new potential channel partners

Setting up new channel partners, building business plans and managing their on-boarding

Working to sales targets set by the Sales Director

Taking advantage of cross selling opportunities within the company

Keeping the management up to date on status and performance through forecasts, and reports

Previous experience of growing a channel is absolutely essential for success in the role, as well as excellent negotiation skills. A background in Logistics or WMS software would be perfect but strong ERP channel sales would also be good.
