Description

We are looking for 4 exceptional graduates with some knowledge of Inventory Management / Supply Chain to become Junior Software Implementation Consultants, working with Supply Chain, Inventory and Demand Planning software solutions. The client is an incredibly successful, rapidly growing specialist software company and the roles are based near Redditch and will involve travel to client sites. You need to live within an hour's drive of Redditch and must have a driving license. Salary from £22,500 to £27,500 depending on how much experience you have, plus company car or car allowance, and bonus scheme.

These are rare opportunities and they are looking for the best candidates. Your knowledge of Supply Chain or Inventory Management could come from many angles, including buying, manufacturing production, the procurement cycle, order fulfilment, inventory optimisation, demand planning, merchandising, purchasing, push / pull view, supply chain software implementation and / or software support.

Essentially, your knowledge will include any supply chain focused role or studies where you have experienced the challenges of running a modern business in a competitive fast paced market. They are looking for you to bring your knowledge to the team and grow into a software consulting and implementation role. They will put you through a fantastic 3 year graduate training program and you will become a top-level Supply Chain Software Consultant, moving on to leadership positions with the company. It's a challenging environment where your input will count, and you can help shape the business and grow professionally.

Your profile and skills:

  • First Class or 2:1 B.Sc or M.Sc degree that has involved Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Business Studies or Information Technology
  • You may be a graduate with a one-year relevant industrial placement
  • Or you may be a post-graduate with a minimum of a year in a relevant business
  • Plus, some focus on software in your degree or work experience
  • You have had a supply chain / inventory industrial placement or post-graduate work experience. Theoretical knowledge from University is not the same as real life experience
  • A strong interest in the part that software plays in the supply chain
  • Crucially, the ability to learn, to try a wide variety of tasks and get on with the job, do your very best and make headway on your own where you can, but equally ask for help where you need it.
  • First class communication, with fluent English and good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and a passion for the supply chain and inventory industry
  • You are motivated and ambitious and looking for rapid carer progression

You will shadow a Senior Consultant. The role of a Junior Software Implementation Consultant includes many tasks such as learning to demonstrate features of the supply chain & inventory software to clients, analysing supply chain scenarios, writing visit reports and meeting reports, talking to clients about their business needs and processes and how the software can address them, communicating implementation issues, risks and status, managing project plans and resources, data conversion from the old software to the new software, client training and helping with the entire software implementation life-cycle, including troubleshooting issues and giving support, and putting your hand to anything that is required.

Their inventory and supply chain software is best-of-breed. It integrates with existing ERP software and looks at previous historical sales information and seasonal factors and loads of other elements and helps the buyers and merchandisers buy more effectively and efficiently. You will function as the voice of the client and provide feedback as to how the software can be improved, or the customer can be better served. This company has had double digit growth ever since their inception and is a remarkable success story. You could be part of this success.
