ERP Software Support Consultant

New role for a Support Consultant / Support Analyst with ERP or Accounting software support experience to join a successful software business near Ferndown in Dorset. To £28k plus benefits.

You will be office based so you need to be commutable to Ferndown. You will have worked on Application Support and have covered ERP, or Accounting software. Plus you will have an understanding of SQL Server and be able to write SQL queries. A background with Sage 200, Pegasus Opera, Exchequer, Epicor, SAP Business One, Access Dimensions, Dynamics NAV, or any other ERP or Accounting software solution would be good.

They have hired 3 support people in the last 3 years, and have a track record of training their Support Consultants and then giving them a chance to progress into consulting, so they are looking to backfill the support team with an ERP or Application Support person and train and get them certified in their ERP solution and in SQL Server. So prospects are very good. The career option is to either stay as an office-based support person if you prefer that, or move into Consulting and Training, both options suit the company.

You will have the opportunity to get involved in consultancy once you are skilled in their ERP product and you will start with bits of client training and specifying new reports before moving onto more complex consultancy, they are happy for you to progress slowly and do a joint support and consulting role if you want to.

They will be investing heavily in your ERP product training and giving you a massive opportunity to progress, so they are expecting at least 12 months of ERP or Accounting software support experience.

The company are focused on selling, delivering and supporting ERP software for small and medium sized commercial companies. So a company with 10 to 50 staff are a typical prospect for them. They have a strength with companies in the Facilities and Projects sector. A good project for them would entail 40 days of implementation and consultancy that would cover everything from discovery and requirements through Implementation, training and go live. After that the support staff take over from there.
