- Description
ERP Application Support Consultant to join a vibrant, growing ERP software company in Southampton who develop, implement and support their own SME business solution for a niche market. Their clients run ERP software, some on premise and some hosted, and some on mobiles and tablets. Salary from £25k to £35k depending on your level of experience.
You will be joining the application support team to work on MS Dynamics NAV ERP solution. The role is to understand what the client is saying, by really listening. Many of the support issues are not about the software but about the client using the software in the wrong way, so as a support consultant asking questions to establish what they are trying to do and avoiding the "it isn't working circle" is really helpful. So people who are confident on the phone, can ask open questions and have patience do much better.
An understanding of business software and business processes would be incredibly helpful, and knowledge of accounting and finance would be an advantage. But the essential experience is ERP support, that could be Epicor, Sage 200, Dynamics GP, Sage 500, Access Accounts, Exchequer, COINS, Pinewood, Intact, SunSystems, MS Dynamics NAV, SAP Business One, Infor, or any other ERP solution.
Job role:
- Answering support telephone calls and emails professionally and personably
- Logging incidents clearly and concisely
- Assisting clients via remote login
- Progressing and resolving clients' problems confidently and effectively
- Coping under pressure when busy
- Meeting SLA's
- Proactive, well organised
They are looking for someone who is friendly, energetic, loves the technical aspects of IT, and has a good telephone manner and a positive attitude.
This is a company where you will learn, grow and develop your software skills in a knowledge sharing environment - and they also have fun here. Everyone is professional and committed to giving their clients the best possible support service as quickly and efficiently as possible.
You will work with another Senior Support Consultant on MS Dynamics NAV support and learn from them, but as your skills improve you will really get your hands dirty with MS Dynamics NAV solving more complex issues yourself. So there is masses of scope to develop in this role.
