Description

Sales Support Executive for an outstanding IT software company who sell, implement and support software, hardware and IT services, based in Birmingham. This is a permanent role, but it can be full time or part time (pro rata salary). They will pay up to £24k plus benefits. They have a hard working, friendly, and fun environment and pride themselves on delivering the best possible service to their customers, whilst maintaining an open atmosphere.

Working with 2 Sales Executives, this role is to support them answering the phone dealing with existing clients and dealing with leads, plus a little bit of lead generation (about 4 hours each week).

You will be responsible for trying to establish what the clients need and then putting a quote together, which could be for:

  • Software
  • Services
  • Licenses
  • Laptops
  • Hardware like servers
  • Networks

So this is a job for someone who has worked in a sales support role for a technology company, or in an IT department, and is familiar with the terminology. There are experts in every technology area, so this job would suit an extrovert who likes chatting to people and figuring stuff out.

They are looking for someone who has experience is a similar role within an IT or IT sales environment, is confident, has a professional manner, can prioritise their work, is personable and able to build relationships, and is customer focused.

Your tasks will include:

  • Answering sales telephone calls from clients
  • Booking appointments
  • Managing the diaries of 2 sales people
  • Putting quotes together and following them up
  • Chasing clients
  • A little bit of cold calling, around 4 hours a week
  • Following up leads from the website and qualifying what the client wants
  • Proactively helping on after-sales service queries, to complete a great customer experience
