Project Manager

Our client delivers a range of SaaS software solutions for property, rentals, lettings, and asset management and is part of a larger, global software consulting firm. Based near Waterloo in London, they need an additional Project Manager who has managed application software projects, working for a software reseller, consultancy, software vendor or software house. Salary to £50k.

They have a very experienced Project Manager leading the team, so this is a slightly more junior level of PM to help him and work alongside him and take over some of the projects. Their software is a classy, state of the art, digital solution sold in the cloud and highly configurable, and it enables property owners to manage, maintain and plan their properties and work spaces.

You need experience managing commercial application software projects, and ensuring they come in on time and to budget. You will attend kick off meetings, look after project activities, produce project initiation documents, maintain project plans, communicate with stakeholders, deal with project issues and risks, manage change logs, allocate the Consultants and run projects from start to finish, initially supporting the Senior Project Manager.

As a Project Manager here, you will work with the clients before the deal is signed, then map out the process and the deliverables, what gets signed off - when and by whom, what the client needs to prepare and do during the project, and what resources the client needs to allocate. Then the deal is done and at kick off they have an "all hands" meeting to get the project started. If the client has opted for an out of the box, vanilla solution with no changes, the project is then roughly an 8-10 week period and is very intense.

They are looking for someone with spark and energy as this is an entrepreneurial company working in a creative software field. They are high growth and there is a lot of positivity and excitement; staff work hard but have a lot of fun together too. They are located between Charing Cross and Waterloo in London, and the role is office based with client visits.

You will be a Project Manager who has managed application software projects. That could be accounting software, payments software, document management, rental or hire software, ERP software, facilities management, workplace management, field service, pensions, asset management software, procurement, retail software, leisure software, estate agency software, CRM, service management, legal software, construction solutions, property management software, booking software, or anything similar. If it has been web-based software, so much the better.

Knowledge of structured methodologies such as Prince 2 would be useful. They use MS Project.
