Marketing Manager for an enterprise software company, part of a larger group that owns 3 software businesses and is very successful in their niche software area. The group company runs its own marketing, so the role of Marketing Manger is to manage the whole marketing department for the other three, and the external budget of £180,000. The team will consist of the Marketing Manager, 2 Campaign Managers and 2 Tele-Sales Executives. Starting salary to £50k plus benefits, based near Solihull.
This role will put you in a position within the leadership team of an award-winning software consultancy with responsibility for planning and budget control over the company's on-line and off-line marketing strategy. It requires someone with initiative, who can provide a full mix of marketing from traditional to digital, to social media, to email marketing, to brand management, copy writing, trade shows and events, and execute a strong marketing plan.
Currently there is only one Campaign Manager. So part of your role will be to build the team of staff in the marketing department. They have had an interim Marketing Director who has been very strong on digital strategy, blogging and social media, and the company has a very strong presence in the digital platforms. Moving forward, the role of Marketing Manager is to also build the traditional marketing channels, especially tele-sales and effective email campaigns.
This is a very hands-on Marketing Manager role, running your own campaigns as well as managing the team, and planning for the future. The wonderful thing about this job is that the company is successful, they sell a lot of software and it all works beautifully. So you are joining a successful and very profitable business.
Experience of marketing management and running campaigns for a software company to B2B clients is essential, in an enterprise scale application software company. You will be innovative, creative, and a great people person, who understands the broad picture but can also execute marketing campaigns covering PR, web and social media. This requires an enthusiastic, proactive and dynamic Marketing Manager.
The businesses resell ERP software, Manufacturing software, e-Commerce software and WMS software, and are also authors of their own software. Together they sell a range of solutions, both on-premise and in the cloud, which cover transport management, warehouse management, order processing, fleet management, track & trace, ePos, dashboarding, accounts, and web portals. They are market leaders in their specialist space.
Clients are mainly in the UK, but they have installations in New Zealand, Australia, in South East Asia and so on. Working here, there is an opportunity to travel abroad but you would need to volunteer for that, you won't be required to work overseas unless you want to.
