This job is to work on the technical aspects of the implementation of mid-range ERP software. There is lots of technical work in the implementation phase and the need to have someone with SQL skills is more and more important.

Then there are a range of tasks around SQL that need doing including SQL Scripting, Report Writing, Crystal, and Dashboard work and this will all involve several add-ons to the ERP solution plus the ERP internal tool kit.

The work is always different and although you will be doing similar tasks, each software set up is different and each requirement has difference nuances, so you will always have to think carefully about what you are doing. There is a lot of training and mentoring in this role and you will learn all the ERP tools and SQL selects and commands, and the technical aspects of ERP software implementations. The primary requirement is strong SQL Server Scripting so skills like SSRS are very useful. Tasks include running scripts using SQL and writing reports using Crystal reporting and SSRS as the tool.

You will work with the Support Manager, learning about the ERP solution, the table lay outs and the functions it has. You will get to work extensively with SQL Server and data and gain strong technical experience with ERP software. The job will grow into a Data Specialist, Technical Consultant or Technical ERP & SQL Support Analyst, depending on your area of interest. You could work 1 or 2 days a week from home, but you would need to be in the office most of the time.

Good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, diagnostic skills, the ability to pick up new technology and an enquiring mind are essential. The position offers very good training, the company is doing exceptionally well, and you will work with technical & application support analysts, developers, implementation consultants, third party suppliers and the Support Manager as well as their finance consultants.
