Description

This is a Senior ERP Consulting role for someone with ERP implementation expertise in the manufacturing sector. You will be involved in all stages of the projects and have a lot of responsibility. Your background will be in successful ERP software implementations; in reality you are likely to be the person that gets called in on the failing projects that other Consultants have stuffed up. Salary to £50k plus car allowance and a utilisation bonus of £250 - £1,000 per month.

You will be the person in the client meeting that asks the extra questions to really drill down on the requirements. You will be the ERP Consultant that can put your thoughts down in a requirements document and others are able to get on with their job as a result. You will be the Consultant that gives clients confidence that it will all work out fine.

The job:

You will be working with 2 Infor ERP products, Infor XA and Infor M3, as a client facing Functional Implementation Consultant.

You will work on complex requirements for manufacturing companies across discrete, made to order and made to stock. You will also cover the implementation of supply chain software that covers the entire business for manufacturing companies.

You will have implemented ERP software into manufacturing companies and be happy talking to production people; you will understand productions lines, wastage and machine utilisation, production schedules and planning, and material requirements and planning. You will also understand the supply chain process from ordering through to distribution and warehousing.

Customers tend to be:

  • Discrete manufacturing
  • Food and drink manufacturing and distribution
  • Fashion and furniture manufacturing

Projects vary from 50 days to 250 days. The clients tend to stay with this consultancy and as their sister company is a logistics software business, clients often get all their ERP, MRP, WMS and Logistics systems from this consultancy. So they look after their clients well and they have strong long term relationships. This would suit someone who wants to go the extra mile, who wants to spend the extra time with the client to fight over a business process change and to make sure the clients gets the right result. Someone who really loves ERP implementation would be very happy in this role.

You will be a hands-on ERP Implementation Consultant with strong manufacturing project experience, happy to visit clients and work away when needed. You will spend 2 or 3 days on client site every week and would need to go to their head office in the West Midlands once a month. So you could be based anywhere in the UK, but the nearer to the Midlands or to London the better and easier for you. Rugby is a marker point only, you can live anywhere from just north of the Midlands down to south of the London area.

The software can be sold as on premise or cloud versions. You will learn both ERP products - Infor M3 and Infor XA.

If you have client facing ERP functional consulting and software implementation experience in the manufacturing area, this would be a great company to join.
