- Description
This is a newly created position within an ERP Consultancy that has a 30 year track record of delivering ERP and CRM projects and implementations. The role will sit between the company directors and the consulting team, working with the existing ERP Project Managers. Based in Birmingham, the starting salary is up to £50k plus team utilisation bonus of up to £10k plus £5k car allowance, private healthcare and death in service benefit.
The focus is on managing the Implementation Consultants and maximising the chargeability of the Consulting team. So you need to work with the consultants on all the ERP projects as a man manager, and you need to understand the projects and the requirements. Currently there is no middle management tier within the company, hence they have created a new role for a Professional Services Manager / Operations & Consulting Manager. You are there to provide a seamless experience for their clients through the project implementation cycle.
Your tasks will include people management and motivating the ERP consulting team, controlling their activities and maximising their chargeability, planning daily operations, creating project plans, coordinating the teams' activities, monitoring project service delivery standards, providing reporting on status and schedule chargeability, and working with the project teams to ensure project deadlines are met. You will ensure policies are met, follow up on project hold ups, provide feedback on efficiency and client experience and build relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Your Profile:
- Strong Project Management experience in a software environment
- ERP software knowledge
- Understanding of ERP implementations
- Track record of people management, motivation and leadership
- Prince 2 or similar project management qualification
- Able to liaise and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- A good influencer who is decisive and engaging
- Local to Birmingham and happy to be office based most of the time, 30% out on client site
The company is looking to retain the family feel that they have held on to since inception, even though they have grown to 80+ staff. They don't want to focus solely on their bottom line but want a lot of the focus on their clients feeling they are well cared for. So part of your role is to ensure the clients are kept as happy as possible, and projects run smoothly.
This is a demanding, but rewarding hands-on role delivering project support to the consulting teams. To find out more, contact Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing.
