- Description
Junior level Implementation Consultant - you may currently be working in accounting software support or as an analyst with an end user, or you may have started working on some implementation projects with a reseller or at an end user. Either way, you will be keen to forge a career as an Implementation Consultant and you enjoy meeting the clients. Accounts knowledge is vital, either working with accounts software or the accounting modules of ERP or DMS or similar software, or a background or qualification in accounting, such as AAT. Starting salary to £35,000, based in Nottingham.
This lively, busy software reseller has a team of 20 software consultants including 12 graduates and apprentices who have joined over the last 4 years. These graduates and apprentices are mainly doing application support. On the consulting and implementation side of the business, they have some very experienced Sage 200 and Sage 50 people with strong accounting and client facing consulting skills.
It is the client facing team that they are now looking to expand. They are looking for someone they can nurture and develop, someone with a good grounding in accounting software; that could be Sage 50, QuickBooks, Xero, Kashflow, BrightPearl, Sage 200, Exchequer, Access Dimensions, Dynamics NAV, PS Financials, or anything similar.
If you currently work for an end user, you are likely be the person that ends up supporting the software, adding new users, helping new staff to learn the system and generally be the "go to person" for accounting software. You pick things up quickly, you are happy to "have a go" at new technology and you enjoy learning new software.
If you currently work for a software company, you really enjoy the client facing aspects of the job. You are happy training people to work on requirements and you love to do as much of the implementation as you can.
Although the apprentices and graduates have done well here at this company, they are all happy staying in the support team and staying in the office and they don't have the confidence or the desire to be client facing Implementation Consultants (which is surprising but true), so this is a superb chance to learn from them and accelerate you career into accounting software consulting and software implementation.
You would be joining a rapidly growing software company, in the crucial consulting team, where you will work alongside superb Sage 200 implementation consultants and you will benefit from lots of mentoring and an extremely capable support and technical team behind you.
This job will give you a chance to thoroughly learn Sage 200 and Sage 50 software, and progress your career into the very well paid, Sage 200 consulting and implementation world.
