- Description
ERP Consultant with manufacturing expertise to work for a top ERP reseller in the UK who have a very strong client base and a 20-year track record. They supply, implement and support ERP business software to SME's and large corporates. Salary to £60k plus car allowance and good bonus, plus private healthcare.
Working on Epicor v9 and v10 ERP solutions, you will focus on their key markets within manufacturing, and warehouse management. They are still growing and winning new deals, plus they have go-lives scheduled for completion over the next few months, so they need an additional ERP Manufacturing Consultant on board as soon as possible who can make an immediate contribution. They are happy to look at ERP Consultants working for a reseller or consultancy, or at candidates who have implemented ERP internally at a manufacturing company.
These positions are based from home. On average you will be on site 3 days a week, with 2 days working from home, and will probably visit their head office once every 3 weeks or so. So you can literally live anywhere in the UK as the clients are nationwide, and there may be occasional international and / or European travel. Sheffield is just a marker point, you could live in Oxford, Birmingham, Cambridge, Derby, London, Telford, Chelmsford, or anywhere within reach of the motorway network and close enough to visit head office in the Midlands from time to time but they will consider candidates based as far as Manchester or Leeds in the North, or Berkshire or Surrey in the South, or Gloucester in the West.
Typical ERP projects here are 30 -200 consulting days, and you need experience of the full software implementation life cycle. You will have worked with one of the ERP solutions commonly used in manufacturing environments. So that could be eFacs, Winman, Glovia, Epicor, Syteline, Syspro, Javelin, QAD, IFS, JBA, Exact, SAP Business One, Sage EM, Sage 1000, JD Edwards, Access Supply Chain, Dynamics NAV or AX, or any other ERP with manufacturing uses.
Heavy manufacturing experience with assembly, discreet, metal bashing manufacturing would be the ideal experience and they would snap you up. A clear understanding of manufacturing methods and techniques, MTO, MTS, CTO, SFDC etc, and BOMs, Workflows, Routings, Engineering Change Management, and KANBAN are some of the skills knowledge you might have.
You will gather client requirements, run workshops, interpret their needs, configure the ERP solution to suit, map business processes, conduct quality implementations, handle the go-lives and data migration and train the users. Modules are likely to include raw materials, make-to-order, production, and warehousing, finished goods, batch processing, sales order processing, and distribution. They follow structured methods for their project management and software implementation and have a very professional approach.
If you are a talented ERP Consultant, with manufacturing expertise and excellent communication skills, looking for a new challenge with a leading UK reseller, this role should be explored.
This company is run very well, they are profitable and well-regarded; they have a great team of quality ERP Consultants, Project Managers and Support Analysts and a superb reputation for excellent service and fully managed Epicor services. Plus, they are headed up by a very approachable and knowledgeable MD.
