Description

New role for an experienced Software Sales Executive for a Midlands software group who supply ERP, infrastructure, hosting (own centres) application support and development. Base salary to £40k plus £6k car allowance, OTE £90k. Ideally you will live within a 2 hour commute of the Mansfield, Leicester, Birmingham area.

The job is to sell their mid-market ERP solution. They do very well with companies that need a complete IT solution as they sell hardware, infrastructure and business software, so clients that need a complete upgrade of everything from cash tills, through to ERP software, buy from them. It gives the customers reassurance that one company is going to fix anything that goes wrong. So the deals often have several elements in the quote, but they have good processes to help with the pricing.

Your background will be new business sales of ERP software to the mid-market. If you have a background in the building or the construction suppliers' sector, that would be great. The job is home based. Ideally you will be based in the Midlands, although they would look at people from the Manchester area as far south as Watford. You will be an experienced, consultative software sales professional, who understands ERP solutions and can handle the sales life cycle from cradle to grave.

The company has been established for 14 years supplying small and medium £5 to £ 100 million turnover companies with ERP systems to, (in the main), distributive industries alongside some key vertical markets. The company had a turnover on the region of £ 4.5 million, employs in excess of 50 members of staff, supports over 350 customers and has offices in the South, Mansfield and East Anglia.

They are owned, primarily by 5 shareholders, three of whom are Directors. Typically, they sell to owners and managers with involvement from customers' IT Managers when applicable. Ticket values range from £ 70,000 to £ 250,000 (software and professional services).

Selling in this environment is very consultative, as there are plenty of competitor solutions such as Kerridge, Merlin, OGL, Intact, Epicor Biztrack and SharpAx. But what the customers like about this particular software business, is that they have a one stop shop for any and all issues.

The ERP solution is cloud based and it is updated every 2 weeks by a team of developers, so the functionality is always improving. It is the market leading product and it is the solution that customers with "trade counters" want, it is the Mercedes Benz of the market. So you just need to get in front of the customers and show them the solution and they will want to buy it.

You will work in a team of 4 new business salespeople with 2 telesales lead generation people and a marketing team. You can expect 5 leads per month form them and you will need to be happy to do some lead generation yourself, including work on LinkedIn, email campaigns and cold calling.

So if you sell it, they will deliver it. Your job is not hand holding customers through the Implementation process…you can "fire and forget"!!
