Description

Superb senior role for an Account Manager, with a track record of 8 years + account management experience with high level clients working with Tier 1 software solutions. This is a key role with a global software company who have a 30 year history, 10 international offices, and around 400 staff Base salary to £70k, OTE £110k plus £5k car allowance, bonus scheme and private healthcare, head office is near Slough in Berkshire.

Your background:

  • 8 years or more experience of account management of business application software
  • Account managed tier 1 and 2 accounts - customers turning over £1 billion +
  • Proven track record of achieving targets
  • Worked as an Account Manager with clients using application software such as ERP, accounting, CRM, property management software, MIS, field service, dealer management, automotive, construction software, pensions software, HR, payroll software, legal software or similar
  • Strong negotiator, attention to detail, presentation skills & relationship skills at a high level
  • Enjoys joining in with strategy initiatives, plans and brain storming ideas
  • Formal sales training would be a bonus
  • An influencer with kudos

You would be joining an existing team of 4 Account Managers, 3 have been with the company for over 10 years. Ideally you live within reasonable commuting distance of Slough (there is work from home flexibility) and they would also consider someone living in the Midlands or the North of England, as the current team are all southern based.

Right now, they are in a period of significant growth, they seldom lose clients or staff and the role is live due to one of current Account Managers being moved internally. This is an awesome company to work for. Staff turnover is incredibly low as people love working here, the management style is superb, they look after their staff extremely well, and everyone in sales hits their targets consistently.

They are authors of their own software solution which covers ERP, CRM, finance & accounting, payroll & HR and business intelligence. You will be the main contact for all account management queries and your job will be to work with the clients who have the main ERP solution in place. You will manage and nurture these customers, and then upsell and cross sell them a range of additional modules, software upgrades, support contracts and services including cloud-based solutions. There is a massive opportunity to upsell their newer mobile solutions and to move customers to the cloud.

Most of these will be existing clients, but some will be customers that are still with the new business team, that haven't been passed over yet, due to lack of account management resource. Your first year target will be £750k and second year around £1 - 1.7 million.

They are looking for someone with significant software account management experience in the business application sector, who hopefully has a good 8 years' + experience under their belt, is accustomed to dealing with corporate clients turning over £1 billion and can map the individuals within each company and the sales cycle involved in the process. You will have worked with Tier 1 ERP companies such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, IBM or IFS or alternatively building or construction software such as Eque2, Easybuild, COINS, Causeway, RedSky, Integrity or Xpedeon.

You will be an experienced Account Manager / Software Sales professional who will bring a track record to the table and who has a strong team player attitude.

Everyone in the team hit their target last year. Everyone in the team is on target this year. They pay their sales team very well and set achievable and beatable targets.
