Description

Nice roles for a Project Coordinator, Junior Project Manager or Project Office Support person who has helped with projects involving software implementations and is client facing, and good at planning, scheduling, organising and keeping projects on track. Ideally you will live somewhere within an hours' drive of the Derby / Nottingham areas as you will probably be in the office 1-2 days a week, as well as being out on client sites and some working from home. Salary to £36k plus car allowance, and up to £40k if you have worked on ERP software projects. They are looking to hire two people.

These two Junior Project Manager / Project Coordinator roles would ideally suit candidates in the early stage of their project management career in the software field, with some experience of project coordination and / or project management and an understanding of the principles and execution of good project governance. These roles would be working with some of the mid-sized customers, where there may not be a customer-side Project Manager, so you need really good people skills and should be able to diplomatically manage client tasks as well as the company tasks.

The company is a rapidly expanding ERP consultancy in the Midlands. They are winning larger and larger deals and the complexity of the projects is rising, so they recently hired 2 senior project managers. However, a lot of their clients are still quite small, and they need someone to help them through the software implementation process.

So these new roles are separate from the functional consultants and involve working with the clients through their implementation process. Often doing the mundane stuff like chasing up for information, times, and meetings, planning diaries and organising and following up, but also managing the ERP software project lifecycle. So you will be chasing clients and pushing things through with them, organising the project plans and keeping everyone on track, working on business requirements and liaising with developers going backwards and forwards through the bug fixing / requirements / business analysis process.

You will look after smaller projects, meeting and liaising with stakeholders to plan projects and deal with issues, create project scope documents and UAT scripts, action the plans, get sign off on project documents and provide status updates to the stakeholders.

You will be ambitious and motivated, quite forceful and determined, but also empathetic and considerate. You need some PM expertise, some project coordination skills and will have worked on application software projects with solutions such as ERP, CRM, DMS, property management or construction software, or legal software, pensions software, field service management, membership software, payroll, risk management software or anything along these lines.

Career prospects are outstanding as they are expanding and look to promote from within. Great company environment, and lots of training and mentoring.
