- Description
This role is for a Junior Account Manager to look after ERP software clients, dealing with the day to day issues, sorting out their licenses, booking training days, and keeping the clients happy. It would suit someone in the early stages of their account management career, or an Application Support Consultant or Telesales person who wants to move into an Account Manager position. Salary to £30k plus £5k car allowance.
The company are specialists in ERP and CRM software, and clients are fairly large and typically have around 150 -200 users. So they split their Account Management team with Strategic Account Managers working on the larger deals and big projects and Service Account Managers (this role) who deal with small projects of up t 10 days, making sure that the niggles don't become larger issues, helping with BAU and assisting the application support team, booking training sessions, upgrading licenses and keeping everyone happy and organised.
This is a team of 4, with 2 already in situ at the moment plus a temp, as one person is on maternity leave. So there are potentially 2 new roles as Service Account Managers. The job will be 50% home based and 50% of your time spent in the office near Abingdon, along with regular client visits.
You will need to be in the office for the first two weeks whilst you learn the ropes, but after that there will be lots of flexibility.
The basic requirements are that you are familiar with application software, you are friendly, personable and cheerful, and you are someone who really listens to what the customer needs and wants to help sort their problems out.
You may be working as a Support Analyst at the moment and are keen to move into Account Management, or you might be in telesales and looking for a step up into client management, and out of cold calling and direct selling. Or you might be a Junior Account Manager looking to move to a leading software company with 8 UK offices and excellent career opportunities. Whichever you are, you will be happy talking to clients on the phone and visiting them face to face, you like solving problems and issues, you are tactful, an excellent listener, and you always put the customer first.
The job does not have a target and there is no commission, but it is a steppingstone into a leading software company, working in their head office with the potential to get spotted, recognised and move up through the ranks quickly.
