- Description
This outstanding cloud-based property solutions company is looking for an experienced Implementation Consultant or Professional Services Consultant who has done several Implementation projects working as a Software Consultant for a solutions company as a functional consultant. There is a wide salary range from £30,000 - £50,000, as they are happy looking at software consultants from junior to senior level. They are based in London near the City and the River Thames, and you will be in the office most of the time, with 2 to 3 days a month on client site, so there is very little travel.
The job is to work with the clients understanding the requirements and working out how it fits in with their software product. Quite often the job is teasing the necessary information from the client as they don't realise that the business processes need to be mapped and can't get their heads around the requirements phase.
You will be a motivated, very personable, ambitious Implementation or Professional Services Consultant who has at least 18 months experience in functional consulting and software implementation working for a vendor or software company or reseller, ideally with SaaS or cloud solutions. ERP, Property, Bookings or Accounting software experience would be ideal, but any type of application software such as Legal, Field Service, Dealer Management, Construction, Automotive software or similar, would also be welcome.
The company develops and sells property booking software for rooms & spaces within a building, be that meeting rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms or whole apartments or entire offices.
So the journey that the software covers is about find the right venue / room / property and then logically taking the customer through the process of registering, searching, viewing, paying the deposit, setting up the standing order, working through the credit check, organising the meet / greet / key pick up phases, then managing the building and linking to finance software for invoicing and payment.
This role would suit someone who has deployed an ERP solution and dealt with different clients from large to small and from the brightest to the slowest. The solution is Cloud based SaaS, so familiarity with cloud or software as a service would be ideal, and you should be a good consultant who is not afraid to look at complex software functions.
Most Implementations are heavily website based and a significant part of the job is to manage the client and the digital agency, which means making sure that everyone knows what their bit of the job is. It is very easy to over promise extra functionality, but much harder to coordinate the effort to get it created, so balance and judgement are crucial.
You will start by learning the solution, you will become familiar with all the processes of the solution and how it works and how it operates. Then you will gain some technical knowledge of the solution, so you are comfortable on a project.
The software has very little standard functionality, and as a Professional Services Consultant you will need to look at the options and then advise the clients on the best way forward, so finding out what is most important to the client is crucial. Therefore, great communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with clients at all levels, is essential.
