- Description
This role is with a growing SAP ByDesign consultancy that promote themselves as very heavy finance consultants. Their Implementation consultants are all qualified accountants and they win a lot of projects that are multi-company, multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional for finance and accounting. It sounds complicated, but in most instances the client knows exactly what they want and SAP Business ByDesign can be set up to do lots of accounting stuff, so it is all very achievable.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Finance Implementation Consultant with a CIMA / ACCA or similar qualification to cross train onto SAP ByDesign ERP. You will work for an outstanding SAP ByD practice who were the most successful in the UK last year. They are expanding the SAP ByDesign side of the company and need an additional Finance Consultant to join them. They will pay up to £80,000.00 for the right candidate if you have strong finance implementation experience. Head office is in Central London, but you can be based anywhere in the UK, North, South, East or West, as long as you are prepared to travel to client sites.
They are part of a global consulting company, which has over 10,000 staff and they also work with other SAP ERP solutions, but currently have 5 SAP Business ByDesign Consultants in the UK office and use a global SAP consulting firm for extra project resource when required.
They need an experienced client facing Consultant with Software Implementation experience who can talk sensibly to FD's and CFO's, set up the chart of accounts, talk about AP, AR, fixed assets, the ledgers, P & L, the balance sheets and depreciation.
If you have a prior background in accountancy, or have accounting qualifications, so much the better. They need someone who can understand multiple company set ups and multiple currencies. So this is an accounting software implementation role that requires someone who understands multi-country, multi-currency and multi-legislation accounting software and has experience of implementing ERP solutions on client sites.
You need to be a confident and personable ERP Implementation Consultant who can handle the full life cycle from project scoping, requirements gathering & analysis, workshops, workarounds, gap analysis, functional specifications, configuring the software, implementation, user training and go-live, and giving post go-live support where required.
You will be detail oriented, with strong functional and business process knowledge, strong finance experience, a good communicator at all levels and someone who wants to ensure that ensure that each implementation is delivered as seamlessly as possible.
The UK Consulting Manger is a great guy, very knowledgeable and very easy to get on with. The UK division of the company is growing rapidly, and there will be excellent career opportunities for good people. They get terrific projects and the work is interesting and challenging.
The role is home based anywhere in the UK, with occasional trips to one of their offices in the Midlands or Central London, and regular travel to client sites. You can expect to stay away one to two nights a week, so you must be happy to travel. At the moment most of their clients are in London, the Midlands and the West Country but that will spread as they expand further into the UK SAP ByD market.
