- Description
This is a nice role for an ERP Software Developer who has spent at least 2 years working on customising and creating new modules in ERP solutions. You need good expertise in .Net technologies with ASP.Net and C#.Net, and HTML, JavaScript, CSS VB, Java will all be welcomed. In particular - if you have experience of the object-oriented language, Jade and JadeScript - they would snap you up, but they will provide training in Jade to a good .Net ERP Developer. Starting salary to £45k plus bonus, plus private healthcare - the role is home based anywhere, or you can be office based in the Midlands if you prefer to be.
The company is a highly regarded ERP consultancy of around 35 people, and part of a larger group. They have been selling, developing and implementing software for more than 20 years, and work with two mid-range ERP solutions, one of which is developed in Jade, as well as the customary .Net technologies. JADE allows its implementers to write complex customised add-ons without causing any interference to the core product. It also allows customisations to stay synched and also provides continuous incremental upgrades. Because Jade is a pure object-oriented system, changes to applications mean just changing or introducing one bit of code, rather than having to rewrite multiple blocks of code. It would be a valuable addition to your skillset, and you will still be doing plenty of cutting-edge C#.Net, ASP.Net and HTML coding and development.
They are looking for a Software Developer with very good communication skills, someone who is happy talking to clients about their systems and understands their business processes. You know how to interpret clients' requirements and customise ERP software to meet their needs, and you can produce technical & functional specifications where required. You love problem solving, you are quick to learn and keen to learn new software, languages and technology, you are happy to be flexible and you are dedicated and pro-active in your approach to programming tasks.
So essentially, you are a motivated, professional Software Developer, with good knowledge of ERP or Accounting software solutions, a background in ASP.Net, C#.Net and HTML development, and good knowledge of the software tools required to customise, modify and develop commercial ERP solutions. Jade experience would be the icing on the cake.
There is an air of positivity and creativity at this company, they have a close-knit team, the directors are very knowledgeable about tech, hands on and approachable, and they will ensure that your career develops, and they keep you challenged and interested.
Location wise, Birmingham is a central marker point, you can work from home full time, or in the office in the Midlands, or half and half. Ideally you will live somewhere between London, over to Bristol, and up to the Midlands, but if you are further afield, and happy to travel, it's not a problem.
