- Description
Recruiting NOW for a talented Project Manager or (Project Coordinator looking to move up) who has managed application software implementation projects within a software company or software vendor and has all round knowledge of the project implementation life cycle from sale to hand over, including timelines, project plans, resources, budgets, risks and issues, milestones and deliverables. Salary to £36k plus car allowance - or £40k if you have good ERP software experience. If you have worked with cloud or SaaS applications, so much the better.
The role is to work on mid-range cloud ERP software projects and you can be home based, or office based, but ideally you will live with an hour's commute of Nottingham, as you will need to go into the office 1-2 days a week (once the current restrictions are lifted) plus make visits to client sites.
They are looking for a Project Manager, Junior Project Manager, or Senior Project Coordinator who has helped with projects involving software implementations and is client facing, great at planning, and scheduling, organising and keeping projects on track.
This Project Management role would ideally suit candidates in the early or mid-stage of their project management career in the software field, with skills in project management and project coordination and an understanding of the principles and execution of good project governance. The role would be working with some of the mid-sized customers, where there may not be a customer-side Project Manager, so you need really good people skills and should be able to diplomatically manage client tasks as well as the company tasks.
You will have experience of managing projects for a software company delivering application software. This could be ERP or accounting software similar to this environment, such as Sage 200, NetSuite, Dynamics NAV, Epicor, SAP Business One, PS Financials, Greentree, Infor, SunSystems, Dynamics GP, Coda etc. or it could be other application software such as Dealer Management, Automotive software, Payroll, HR, Field Service, Legal, MRP, Construction software, Property Management software, Retail software, CRM, BI, or anything in the same vein.
The company is a rapidly expanding cloud software consultancy in the Midlands that has doubled in size in the last two years. They are winning larger and larger deals and the complexity of the projects is rising, so they recently hired 2 senior project managers. However, a lot of their clients are still quite small, and they need someone to help them through the software implementation process.
You will be chasing up for information, times, and meetings, planning diaries and organising and following up, and also managing the smaller ERP software project lifecycles. So you will be chasing clients and pushing things through with them, organising the project plans, keeping everyone on track, working on business requirements and liaising with developers going backwards and forwards through the bug fixing / requirements / business analysis process.
You will liaise with stakeholders to plan projects and deal with issues, create project scope documents and UAT scripts, action the plans, get sign off on project documents and provide status updates to the stakeholders.
Hopefully you are ambitious and motivated, quite forceful and determined, but also empathetic and considerate. Career prospects are outstanding as they are expanding and look to promote from within. Great company environment, and lots of training and mentoring.
