SAP Business ByDesign Consultant

We are recruiting for an experienced and versatile SAP ByDesign Consultant with strong finance experience to join an outstanding SAP ByD practice who were the most successful in the UK last year. They are trading as normal and continuing to thrive in the current difficult conditions. The SAP ByDesign side of the business is expanding and they need an additional Finance Implementation Consultant to join themand they are offering up to £80k starting salary for the right candidate if you have strong finance and SAP ByD experience. Head office is in the south of the UK, Reading is a central point on the map - you can live anywhere in England or Wales.

Since the lock down began in March they have gone live on 2 projects, all their current projects are running with no delays and they are still doing demonstrations of SAP By Design; the head of sales said that he was expecting 3 more new deals to be signed by the end of June 2020.

They are part of a global consulting company, which has over 10,000 staff and also work with other SAP ERP solutions, but currently have 5 x SAP Business ByDesign Consultants in the UK office and use another global consulting firm for extra ByD project resource when required.

They need an experienced client facing SAP Business ByDesign Consultant who can talk sensibly to Finance Directors and CFO's, set up chart of accounts, talk about AP, AR, fixed assets, the ledgers, and the P&L, the balance sheets and depreciation etc.

If you have a prior background in accountancy, or accounting qualifications, so much the better - but it's essential that you understand multiple company set ups and multiple currencies. So this is an accounting software implementation role that requires someone who understands multi-country, multi-currency and multi-legislation accounting software and has experience of implementing the SAP ByD solution on client sites.

You need to be a confident and personable client facing Software Consultant who can handle the full life cycle which includes project scoping, requirements gathering, gap analysis, workshops, workarounds, functional specifications, software configuration, implementation, user training and go-live, and post implementation support where required. You know the right questions to ask, you understand the answers and the pain points, you love cloud software and the complexities and features of SAP Business ByDesign.

You have strong functional and business process knowledge, good finance experience, you are detail oriented, an excellent communicator at all levels and you want to ensure that each implementation is delivered as seamlessly as possible.

If you are a very experienced SAP ByD Consultant there is every opportunity for you to be the Lead Senior Consultant within a year of joining. The UK Consulting Manger is a great guy, very knowledgeable and very easy to get on with. The UK division of the company is growing rapidly, and there will be excellent career opportunities for good people. They get terrific projects and the work is interesting and challenging.

The job is home based anywhere in the UK, with occasional trips to one of their offices in the Midlands or the South, and regular travel to client sites. You can expect to stay away one to two nights a week, so you must be happy to travel. At the moment most of their clients are in London, the Midlands, Bristol and the West Country and South, but that will spread to the north and east as they expand further into the UK SAP ByDesign market.
