SAP Business ByDesign Consultant

Unique role for a Senior SAP Business ByDesign Consultant to set up the SAP BYD practice for an ERP reseller who are very well established in SAP Business One, and are moving into the ByDesign market.

They need an experienced SAP ByDesign Consultant to be their Lead Functional Consultant and help set up the team, mentoring and coaching their SAP Business One Consultants as they learn the ByDesign product and become proficient. The job is home based spending 2 to 3 days a month in the office, a little more in the beginning as you get to know the team and train them and mentor them. Salary to £75k plus car allowance and perks. Farnborough is just a marker point, you could live anywhere in the UK, south of Manchester / York.

The company's primary focus for the past 20 years, has been on SAP Business One and its success has been founded on supporting its customers to make the most of their investment in the product. You need to help them take this success into the SDAP BYD market. You will have a strong background in SAP ByDesign implementation and functional consulting, decent finance expertise, and will have worked on at least 5 projects and led at least one full Business ByDesign project yourself. This job would suit someone who enjoys working with limited supervision and who is confident in their own ability as a functional consultant and a leader.

What will you be doing?

• Setting up the SAP Business ByDesign side of the business

• Coaching and mentoring the SAP Business One Consultants and guiding them through the ByDesign features

• Working with new clients to provide SAP ByDesign Consulting services during implementation.

• This includes but is not limited to: scoping / blueprinting, business analysis, configuring the system, testing, implementation, providing cutover assistance, go live and supporting client issues.

• Functional consulting and implementation, particularly the finance side

The client is a well-known SAP Business One reseller, who also do a lot of development and consultancy in the Amazon Web Services sector. In Q3 or Q4 of 2020 they will be launching their SAP Business ByDesign practice. They are friendly, energetic, and forward thinking and you will work with a smart, enthusiastic team. They are looking for someone who is an effective communicator, people focused, and a good leader. There is a great attitude in the office, people like working here and they tend to stay for a long time.

As they are a successful ERP hosting company with a very strong relationship with SAP UK, they are expecting to grow the ByDesign business quickly, so this is a great opportunity for someone to get in at the start of a new SAP ByDesign practice.

You will be pivotal in deciding how SAP BYD is implemented and how the team grows, but tour main role will still be as a hands on functional SAP ByDesign functional consultant on finance projects.
