Description

Graduate Trainee Sales Executive role; to learn all about the enterprise software market and kick start your solution sales career. You need a decent degree from a decent university and a bright, inquisitive mind. Plus the ability to write brilliant emails, a very keen interest in software (for instance you'll know something about Microsoft, Oracle, SAP or similar application software), the ability to pick up different technology, and different applications.

You will be chatty, outgoing and confident, you may possibly be a sporty person, competitive and definitely a winner. This is a "first rung of the ladder" graduate trainee role, for someone who can see the potential that a career in professional ERP software sales will give them, leading to £100k+ earnings in the future. The position is ofice based in Redditch.

As a junior software sales executive, you will learn lead generation and will cold call and do marketing emails and work through the complete sales process as you gain more experience. You will start off by calling companies to find out if they are thinking of changing their software, and by working smart with the internal CRM system, you will create a map of which companies use what type of software, and then keep in touch with them until they are ready to buy.

As you progress, you will shadow senior sales people on client visits, learn how to qualify a client, establish a client's requirements, present polished, professional software demos, write quotations, and take a sale through to the close. They will teach you how to work strategically and consultatively with sales and marketing resources, to target, penetrate and close key clients. You will take clients through the sales process, keeping track of the different decision makers and making sure the key sponsors remain "on side". This is very consultative selling as the client knows that they have a need for the software - you must make sure that you fully understand their issues.

They are looking for someone who is tenacious, proactive, energetic, bright, well-educated and presentable - a people person, excellent at building rapport. You are not frightened by hitting the phone to identify potential clients, you are hungry for success, and you are willing to do the hard, gritty stuff and make the mistakes, in order to grow into a professional enterprise sales person.

You are passionate about learning consultative professional selling, and passionate about the software market. You conduct yourself well, you ask sensible questions and you look the part. Realistically this role is a superb doorway to a career in ERP and software solution sales with typical earning of £100-150k plus.
