Description

New role for a Project Coordinator / Project Manager who has run application software projects, to join a vibrant, busy ERP software provider. You would be home based at first, but this is an office based job when restrictions allow - so you need to be able to commute easily to the Kidderminster area. Starting salary to £34k.

They are looking for a Project Coordinator or Project Manager, who has helped with projects involving software implementations and is client facing, and brilliant at planning, scheduling, organising and keeping projects on track. You will be working on projects involving a fully cloud based ERP solution. The software is selling incredibly well and they expect this team to grow dramatically.

You will have a background in project coordination, and will be used to managing diaries, organising meetings, changing everything at the last minute. You will be able to smoothly chase up clients to arrange meetings, or training or follow up with documentation.

This role would suit a highly organised Project Coordinator, looking for a step up, someone who enjoys working in a team and is happy having a "to do list" as long as next week and 50 plates spinning all at the same time.

So you will probably be in the early or mid-stage of your project management career in the software field, with some experience of project management and project coordination and an understanding of the principles and execution of good project governance. This position would be working with some of their mid-sized customers, where there may not be a customer-side Project Manager, so you need really good people skills and should be able to diplomatically manage client tasks as well as the company tasks.

The company is a rapidly expanding ERP consultancy in the Midlands. They have recently totally re-developed their software and are winning larger and larger deals and the complexity of the projects is rising. However, a lot of their clients are still quite small, and they need someone to help them through the software implementation process. You will be part of a team of 12 people made up of PM's, Implementation Consultants and Data Analysts.

This job involves working with the clients through their implementation process. Often doing the mundane stuff like chasing up for information, times, and meetings, planning diaries and organising and following up, but also managing the ERP software project lifecycle. So you will be chasing clients and pushing things through with them, organising the project plans and keeping everyone on track, working on business requirements and liaising with developers going backwards and forwards through the bug fixing / requirements / business analysis process. You need to be a great communicator to do all this.

You will look after smaller projects to start with, liaising with stakeholders to plan projects and deal with issues, create project scope documents and UAT scripts, action the plans, get sign off on project documents and provide status updates to the stakeholders.

You will be ambitious and motivated, quite forceful and determined, but also empathetic and considerate. You need some decent PM expertise, and project coordination skills and will have worked on application software projects with solutions such as ERP, HR, Payroll, Distribution, CRM, DMS, Legal software, property management or construction software, pensions software, field service management, membership software, risk management software or anything along these lines.

Career prospects are outstanding - they have grown to over 200 people and are still expanding and they look to promote from within. Great company environment, lots of training and mentoring, and people love working here.
