- Description
This is a job for someone who loves training. Training workshops and webinars are your bread and butter and what gets you up in the morning with a smile! It is not for someone who sees training as a side line to software implementation or just part of your role. You need to be passionate about teaching people how to use application software, and you get a thrill from developing training content and materials, running training workshops and delivering effective webinars, and watching your clients learn and develop their knowledge and skills, to enable them to better utilise their software and build their businesses.
It's a fantastic opportunity to join one of our favourite clients as a Software Trainer in Hemel Hempstead. They are a superb software company who work with MIS, ERP and accounting software solutions and they have had a terrifically successful year, despite the pandemic. The job will be office based most of the time, so you should need to be in realistic commuting distance of the Hemel Hempstead / St. Albans / Tring area. Up to £35k negotiable, to start.
They are looking for someone based close to Hemel, who has experience as a software training consultant. You must be 'Train the Trainer' or 'Education Training' certified (or similar qualifications), with the ability to create and deliver content to a wide audience of people via webinar or in the office (there is very little travel to client sites as most training is done remotely, on-line). Most of your group training sessions will be from 2 to 12 people.
In an ideal world you will have experience as a Training Consultant working with ERP solutions, but any application software is absolutely fine for them. So this could also be accounting software, estate agency solutions, HR and payroll products, field service software, CRM solutions, workforce management, DMS, T & A, merchants' software, construction software or similar.
3 years+ experience as a Software Trainer would be ideal. You can design and write quality course materials, and user documentation, you are familiar with web based learning platforms and up-to-date educational techniques, and are able to train people on a wide variety of features, as well as running the same course numerous times, but with variations.
You are organised, confident and engaging with your audience, and can deliver high quality software training sessions to mixed groups of people, technical and non-technical, and from the shop floor to the board of directors. You like planning and documenting your courses, you have plenty of initiative and can put forward new training ideas to the management, you love learning about new software products so you can deliver better content, and you're happy in front of a group of people who are depending on you to teach them what they need to know. Above all, you're passionate about being a trainer and driven to ensuring your clients are satisfied, happy and enthusiastic about using the software products and services.
This company has won multiple awards for being the best ERP solutions provider in the UK beating many of the top players in the field. They have recently been approved as a supplier to yet another buying group that represents over 500 businesses in the UK, and they are very, very busy and continue to grow rapidly. There is a positive vibe here, people are optimistic about their careers and know that their future is safe here. Their ERP software is built on a SQL Server.Net framework, it is delivered on premise and in the cloud, is highly configurable and very user friendly. A state of the art solution that is selling rapidly. They have a smart central office, structured career development, and plenty of budget for your personal development and ongoing training.
Do you have a friendly, keen and engaging approach to delivering training, updating and creating new material and measuring success? Can you relate to and enthuse technical and non-technical people, employees and customers on a suite of products?
If you can say yes to the above, and you like the sound of this one and you are a passionate software trainer, send your CV across now to Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg, or give us a call at Ambis.
