Experience of marketing an application software solution is essential. This is a permanent job, to replace the Marketing Manager who is moving on after 8 happy and successful years with the business.
We think this is a terrific role for a marketing go-getter looking to make a real impact on the future growth and development of a successful software business. The job is based in Southampton near the Royal South Hants Hospital. You can work from home but would be expected to go into the office one day a week, (occasionally 2 days a week), so you need to be happy commuting in to this area once a week.
This progressive software consultancy are resellers of a world class, scalable mid-market ERP, finance, warehousing and e-commerce software solution which sells very successfully into a specialist client market. They are financially strong, have around 65 employees, and have done very well right through the pandemic. The directors are very hands-on and they are great guys to work with.
This job is to manage the entire marketing for their ERP product. Previous experience of marketing a software solution is vital and obviously, experience of marketing an ERP product would be a big bonus. The role is focused on generating interest in the website so that prospective clients get in touch. You will manage all the channels of marketing that generate interest in the product and drive traffic to their website.
Your knowledge should include previous experience working within the IT sector, website content and design social media, CRM, marketing literature creation (fact sheets, e-shots, brochures), press releases, copy writing, social media posting and statistics, organising and planning exhibitions and marketing events, B2B, customer analysis and market research, campaign design and website traffic. WordPress and / or CMS would be very useful and experience working with automated marketing platforms. You need an excellent command of written and spoken English, and you are a great communicator at all levels.
The job will have a lot of variety:
- You will manage their digital marketing to include email campaigns, social media (mainly LinkedIn), PR articles, blog content and website gated content.
- Looking after website design and content (knowledge of WordPress / CMS) and improving inbound website traffic and PR to support lead generation for the sales team
- Monitoring social media and campaign stats
- Use of Hootsuite and media design tools
- Branding development
- Liaising with trade journals
- Press releases and newsletters
- Co-writing articles for journals and blogs
