ERP Project Manager

We are looking for a solid Project Manager with a strong commercial background and experience of mid-sized ERP solutions, who can bring in structure and formal processes to this ERP software consultancy. They are a smallish (around 40 people) successful reseller of middle tier ERP solutions nationwide, and the role is remote, based from home anywhere in the UK. To £60k.

They supply and implement ERP software into the manufacturing, distribution and supply chain sectors and clients' business needs cover make to stock and make to order manufacturing, warehouse management & distribution, finance & accounting, logistics, supply chain, PSA, BI and CRM. They have a great company culture led by the management team, with everyone being professional but genuinely friendly and welcoming. All staff are based from home all over the UK.

They are looking for a skilled Project Manager, who is a strong leader and has a track record of delivering ERP software projects or similar solutions such as MRP, supply chain, accounting software, field service software, DMS or construction software.

So you need at least 4 years hands-on experience of running multiple software projects and teams of Implementation Consultants, and will have worked in a client-facing consulting environment, for a software reseller, partner or software vendor with expertise on projects of 100 days+. They would like to improve their formal project management structure and formal processes, so experience using structured project management methods such as Prince 2 or PMP, and tools such as MS Project would be a big bonus.

You are a client focused Project Manager who can motivate and lead your team, manage and delegate, plan, organise and budget, manage risk and profitability, and negotiate, develop and influence. Your experience will cover scope, project planning, risk management, resources, project progress reporting, tracking of deliverables, documentation, change management and meeting milestones on time and to budget, as well as the day to day management of the ERP consultants. You can coordinate and manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously to include ERP implementations, software upgrades, and new installations.

You will be likely to spend 2 to 3 days a week on client sites, and the others working from home.

Your background:

• 4 years + project management experience, 100 day+ projects
• ERP software or similar solutions expertise
• A background in software implementation
• Worked for a reseller or vendor in a client facing role
• Strong leadership and man management skills
• Formal structured PM methods, such as PMP or Prince 2 and a champion of methodology
• Experience using project management tools such as MS Project to plan and track your projects
• Delivery of projects on time and to budget
• Great at forming effective relationships with clients
• Professional presence, sound communication and strong work ethic
• You can handle awkward conversations and manage the conflicts
• Detail focused
• Good at managing client expectations and being a people manager
