Software Support / Application Support

This thriving software consultancy near Lincoln are looking for a proactive 1st Line Support Analyst / Software Support Consultant, to join their busy IT support team. Their perfect person will have 12 months or more working in an IT software support role on a helpdesk or for a software reseller or vendor. You have gained some application & technical support skills to include Windows, Excel, some MS SQL (simple views and queries etc.), and knowledge of application software such as accounting / finance, ERP, property management solutions, legal, construction, dealer management, housing applications, field service solutions or anything similar.

You have decent all round skills and a keen interest in IT, software, accounting solutions and databases, and are hungry to learn and develop yourself. You are analytical, and someone who keeps going to find a solution to a problem. Salary to £25k, lots of flexibility for home working as well as coming into the office near Lincoln.

You will be responding to inbound calls and emails and providing an efficient 1st line support service to your clients across a range of business solutions, providing first contact fixes where possible, logging incidents in the ticketing system, and escalating issues to 2nd / 3rd line support when needed. You are experienced in dealing with users over the telephone and logging incidents onto helpdesk systems.

The support aspects can range from a quick fix, helping clients with a 5 minute query, to complex issues that require detailed investigation, so you will have a love of problem solving, and an independent mind that enjoys challenges and you are happy looking at issues yourself and coming up with solutions. You will be thinking on your feet, building strong relationships with your clients and interacting with people all day. So you need to be confident, curious, friendly, a very good communicator, patient, and determined, and passionate about technology and providing a brilliant service to your customers.

The company has 4 UK offices and sells, implements and supports a specialist ERP & accounting solution that covers project accounting, project costing, payroll, rental, hire, building, service & maintenance and it's built on .Net, SQL Server and web technology.
