- Description
Technical Consultant with ERP and SQL Server skills for a home based role anywhere in the UK. You will be managing projects from initial installation of new Epicor ERP systems for warehousing, distribution and manufacturing based customers, which will include designing, estimating, quoting, architecting, engineering, training, troubleshooting, installation and sign-off. To £60k (negotiable), home based anywhere UK wide.
Working as a Technical Consultant here, you will deal with all the technical aspects related to an Epicor ERP software implementation. So you will get involved with the servers, SQL databases, and development. You will be strong on SQL Server, SQL scripting, SSRS, technical toolset, Azure or AWS or VMWare or Hyper-V cloud or virtualisation platforms. You won't be a master of all this technology, but you will be able to understand how it relates to the implementation and talk to the right people who do have mastery of it. But you are confident working with the delivery of the technical aspects of ERP software implementations and integrations on client sites. You will be competent developer with C# skills.

Your background:
- 4 years + in a Technical Consulting role working with ERP software and MS SQL Server
- SQL Reporting Services, SSRS Design, build, deploy and SQL Analysis Services (BI)
- SQL tracing, querying, and monitoring
- SQL scripting - T-SQL, indexing, complex/structured queries, stored procedures
- MS SQL Server Maintenance, install, upgrade, troubleshoot, backup/restore
- Visual Studio, and C# coding
- Azure / AWS or VMWare / Hyper-V
- Windows Server administration, IIS, RDS
- Performance troubleshooting and environment mapping
- End user technical training
- Able to explain technical terms in laymen's terms to the client
- Strong communicator

These customers have a variety of business needs including make to order and make to stock manufacturing, process manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, PSA, BI, warehouse management, logistics and finance & accounting.
This job sits in the middle of the ERP consulting team and the technical and development teams. Every project has its technical challenges with hardware, databases, development and integration with other solutions such as WMS, and your role is to help with the technical and integration side of software implementations, and make sure it is done well and to time scale.
