- Description
We are looking for a hands on Sage 200 Senior Consultant, to take on a role as Sage 200 Team Leader / Sage 200 Manager. This thriving ERP consultancy has been in the Sage business for over 20 years; they have always been a leading player in the Sage 200 space and continue to support over 250 existing clients. This role is to manage a small consulting team of 4 which consists of 2 Sage 200 Consultants, 1 Software Developer and 1 Technical Consultant.
The role is split; 50-60% will be managing and motivating these 4 people and doing some project management, and about 40 - 50% will be hands-on Sage 200 consultancy, plus things like making sure the quotes that the Pre-Sales Consultant issues are validated, and reporting in to the management team on a weekly basis. And you will need to keep everybody happy and on track. Starting salary to £55k + decent car allowance, bonus and private health plan. The job is home based as are most of their Sage 200, technical and IT people, (Manchester bears no relevance) anywhere in the UK, with some travel to client sites.
Their perfect candidate will be an experienced Senior Sage 200 Consultant, with strong implementation, consultancy and training skills, and some experience of looking after a couple of people or a small team, and mentoring, motivating, and organising them, scheduling work, developing them through structured training, handling performance reviews and improving performance. Plus you are skilled at the full life cycle of Sage 200 implementation projects, scoping, taking requirements and defining them for the developers, documentation, migration and go-lives.
You have hands on experience with Sage 200 commercials & financials, plus you'll know some of the Sage add-ons from providers such as Draycir, Eureka, Sicon or Codis and some of the associated technology like SSRS, SQL queries, Sage Report Writer, BI, Sage Project Accounting, or Sage CRM. The more skills you have, the better. You are forward thinking, proactive, a great people person and a good influencer.
Why is this a great job?
- Team of 4, so you can get to know your people really well
- It's a large company with fabulous career opportunities; the last 2 Team Leaders have been promoted internally
- You will be a key member of the company and well respected
- Projects are very do-able
- You have the opportunity to put your ideas forward, to grow the company, improve performance and enhance the client experience
- The sales team is superb, the principal salesman has 15 years selling Sage 200 and knows what he is doing, so the deals are properly sold with the right expectations
- It's a dynamic, busy and fast paced environment
- Your confidence, skills and Sage 200 and management capabilities will grow
- Great boss - the MD is very hands on, friendly and happy to mentor and coach you and give you whatever help you would like
- Most consulting work is successfully done remotely now, so there is less travel
This could be a lovely place to settle down, build a leading Sage 200 team and live happily ever after. Plus you get to retain your hands on Sage 200 experience and choose your own projects (you pick the ones you want to do - and divide up the rest).
