- Description
Internal hybrid role for an ERP Consultant or ERP Support Consultant or Sage 200 Consultant or ERP Business Analyst to join a well-managed and busy manufacturing and engineering company based near Tring and Aylesbury, with very little travel involved. Starting salary to £40k plus bonus, pension and 5 weeks' holiday. If you are looking for an ERP role which is office based so you can go home at night to your family, and has a lot of variety (and interesting future projects) plus room for you to grow into the role - then this might be just the thing for you.
In a nutshell, you will need to have a mix of skills. You should be able to talk confidently to the users to understand their requirements and make changes to the ERP & accounting software to fit their needs, you will be able to support the ERP systems already in place, you will understand databases (SQL), you will be able to write some reports (Crystal) and you will have some knowledge of software development with the ability to make small program changes and amendments where necessary.
With 100 people in their Aylesbury head office, and a further 100 people in their manufacturing plant, this company has grown 10% every year for over 10 years. They have been in business for over 20 years and their current turnover is £25 million. You will report to the Systems Manager who is a great guy to work with. They are running Sage 200 software for their accounting and ERP needs as well as Sage manufacturing, plus they use the graphical planner tools from Sage. They have other systems including a CRM solution, Business Intelligence, Hire & Rental solutions, and CAD software for designing the products they engineer and manufacture. They will be upgrading their ERP systems from Sage 200 within the next few years which will be a nice project for you to work on.
They are looking for an internal ERP Consultant, to help improve the business and the processes in all areas of the company. Your job will be to help run projects to improve and update the applications they have. You will gain an understanding of the business requirements by working with the users, you will specify the issues and solutions and then work with 3rd parties to purchase a solution or make small bespoke changes to the existing software.
You will also get involved in data migration, Crystal Report Writing, and SQL statements as well as writing training manuals and training new staff on the systems. So essentially you will be an in-house ERP Consultant implementing new functionality and supporting the users.
Over the next 5 years you will help with selecting new software to replace Sage 200, as well as new CRM software, and new CAD software, alongside the Systems Manager.Candidate skills:
- An experienced ERP Support Consultant, ERP Business Analyst or Implementation Consultant
- ERP software skills such as Sage 200, NetSuite, SAP Business One, Dynamics NAV, Exact, Syspro, Openda, Deltek, Coda, Infor SunSystems, Kerridge, Agresso, Greentree or similar
- Able to take requirements, support ERP solutions and write Crystal Reports
- Able to identify and assess new software solutions
- Word, Access and Excel and an understanding of SQL databases
- Some knowledge of development (able to code small bespoke applications from time to time)
- Hands-on and happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in
- Good problem solving skills and attention to detail
This is a very profitable and well run manufacturing & engineering business with a good annual IT spend available, a really personable Systems Manager to work alongside (and a brilliant Sage 200 Partner for support and help), plenty of variety and a minimal amount of travel.
