Description

New requirement for a Senior Project Coordinator or Project Manager to join a mid-size accounting and CRM solutions company. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a close knit team, within a successful software consultancy who work with state of the art cloud products which are in high demand, and help keep them organised, and the projects on track. Salary from £35 - £40k plus bonus, depending on your level of experience, with regular reviews. You can work remotely and go into the office a couple of times a month, but ideally you'll be living in the Midlands, down to the south, south east or south west. Rugby isn't relevant as a location, anywhere is fine.

Project Management / Project Coordination experience, working with business application software is essential. This PM / PC role is with a buzzy consulting company who specialise in flexible accounting, quoting, CRM, marketing and content management software. They are very professional with structured project management methodologies, they are growing steadily and they are great employers.

They are looking for a bright, well organised candidate with strong attention to detail, and application software experience who has worked at Senior Project Coordinator level or has moved into Project Management in an IT software company and is particularly strong with clients. It is your responsibility to talk to the clients and consultants (from IT Managers to Managing Directors, to Software Consultants) to chase up tasks and dates, co-ordinate between all parties, and schedule meetings and training sessions, as well as forecast the consultants' time. You will provide project progress reports generate project statements, create schedules, manage diaries and participate in project meetings.

You will start off working on the smaller projects of 10 - 20 man days, progressing as you gain experience, to large projects of 50-100 man days. Many of these projects are running concurrently so you need to be confident under pressure and able to juggle things constantly.

Your job is to manage the clients' expectations and keep the portfolio of projects rolling forward. You will need to liaise with the consulting teams and development teams to do this. It is essential that you can to work to deadlines and cope when the heat is on!

Your Profile:

  • An Application Software Background in application software such as MIS, CRM, Accounting, Automation, Document Management, Payments software, MIS, Time & Attendance, ERP or similar
  • Enthusiastic and a positive team player
  • Sound understanding of business processes
  • Able to communicate professionally and confidently with clients
  • Experienced in application software projects, progress reports, project scheduling, risk logs, bookings, and diaries
  • A superb organiser, good time management, attention to detail, pro-active and friendly, but able to be firm and stand your ground where required to keep things on track
  • You build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • MS Project or Prince II or other project management methodologies would be a bonus
