- Description
ERP Project Manager wanted; this role is for someone with a software consultancy background, who is used to running multiple projects with multiple clients, concurrently. They have a well-established home based working environment, with 1 day a month in the office for their monthly meeting (between Birmingham and Oxford), and typically 1 day per month at a client site somewhere in the UK. Strong ERP and project management skills are essential and your background includes working for a software reseller, vendor or consulting firm. To £70k plus bonus.
The company is a busy, established, securely funded mid-range ERP reseller, plus they host this ERP solution on the cloud for most of the other resellers of the product in the UK. This has led to them having a large hosting service through Amazon AWS, which has then given them lots of new opportunities to provide software development and consultancy in the Amazon Web Services sector.
They were the first reseller in the world to offer this ERP solution in the cloud and consequently are now the world leaders in hosting the solution. By next spring they will have 5 global data centres in the UK, the USA, Germany, Canada and the Far East. They are an Amazon Web Services AWS Advanced Partner and are getting more and more clients switching to their hosted solution which has increased the project management workload substantially. They are proud to be a gold partner with the product vendor.
The job would suit an experienced ERP Project Manager who is used to dealing with the implementation consultants, the clients, the unreasonable deadlines, the insufficient budgets and the massively unrealistic expectations! And whilst that is all going on … keeping a level head and remaining calm under pressure. It is hands on working with everyone. Building trust, and building relationships.
A solid ERP project management background and a track record of dealing with multiple concurrent projects is essential. You have superb problem-solving, organisational and planning capabilities and a track record of delivering successful ERP projects on time and on budget. Your interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills are on point, and you are adept at influencing decisions and developing positive relationships internally with the consultants, developers and pre-sales people and externally with the customers. Plus you are comfortable operating under considerable pressure at times. Their key client are in manufacturing, supply chain, distribution and finance.
Although the company is an ERP software reseller and partner, they spend ten times more money with AWS than with the ERP vendor. The growth of their business in the AWS sector is phenomenal and therefore the career prospects for anyone working here are stunning. This is a superb opportunity to use your ERP project management experience to move into AWS projects and add another string to your bow.
