- Description
We are looking for a well-rounded, versatile ERP Support Consultant or ERP Support Analyst for a key application support role with a thriving manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and distribution company who specialise in a niche area of aviation spares, maintenance and repairs.
As part of their busy internal IT team, your role will be to support their two order driven ERP manufacturing solutions, using MS SQL to query and troubleshoot issues with the software. A wide salary range is on offer to £45k, as they will look at all levels of experience, plus 25 days holiday with the option to buy extra days, discounts with a multitude of retailers, mental health support and free access to financial advisors. This is very much an employee focused business and your development is important to them, so there are plenty of training and career opportunities. They have a flexible office based / home based working policy. You can live in the North West, and they also have offices in Gloucester in the south west if that is closer to you.
The business has grown massively since their inception 11 year ago and they now employ over 500 people across three UK and 2 global offices. Their sector is order driven manufacturing and supply chain and they are currently running Infor Syteline ERP and Visual ERP as their solutions; plus you will get involved with Power BI. So the ERP support issues will relate to things like order processing, inventory management, materials, make to order manufacturing, warehousing, returns, vendor maintenance, accounts & finance, and sales & marketing.
You need at least 18 months' experience supporting an ERP solution. Manufacturing knowledge, MES solutions, experience of Infor Syteline or Visual ERP, and / or knowledge of SharePoint or CRM software would all be advantageous, but are by no means essential. Some SQL skills with the ability to use SQL for queries and scripting, are however essential.
Just as important is your inquisitiveness, thirst for learning, adaptability, ability to juggle many tasks at once, attention to detail, passion for IT, and ability to take ownership of support requests and see them through to resolution. You can communicate well with users who don't understand the terminology and technology, whether that is at board level or the warehouse floor, and empathise with their problems and deal patiently with their stress!
They have a lot of new software projects on the horizon, so you are someone who is interested in new technology and has the capacity and enthusiasm for learning and inputting your own ideas.
This is a terrific role for a switched on Application Support Analyst, which will give you the opportunity to grow outside of your standard tasks and expand your skillset.
