- Description
Super role for an organised, savvy Project Coordinator with a business that is based in between Stourbridge, Birmingham, and Halesowen. This innovative, fast moving ERP software company, supply market leading ERP and Logistics software into a niche market, and they do it very successfully. There is a mix of working from home and the office here, generally 3 days in the office one week and 2 days in the office the next week. They will pay up to £45k depending on how much experience you have working in projects, and whether you have knowledge of the software market.
You will be someone who has helped with projects involving software implementations and you are very well organised, good at planning and scheduling, and keeping track of multiple projects. You are very meticulous, with solid administrative skills, and experience of the Microsoft Office Suite, and a stickler for detail. You will have worked in software, and you understand the basics of the software implementation process and are familiar with terminology like workshops, requirements and go-live.
The Project Managers, or Professional Services Manger will set up the initial project plans, then it will be your responsibility to talk to the clients and consultants - from Systems Managers to Managing Directors, to Software Consultants - and to chase up tasks and dates, co-ordinate between all parties, and schedule meetings and training. You will provide project progress reports to the clients, generate project statement reports, create schedules, look after the risk logs, and participate in project meetings.
You will work with the Professional Services Manager and Senior Consultants; your role will cover:
- Chasing people up
- Documentation
- Booking consulting days, meetings, and training days
- Forecasting the consultants time (time used on a project vs time left)
- Following up all procedures
- Project administration
- Calling customers for information or updates on the projects
- Liaising with the implementation consultants
- Project updates and updating the project plans
- Scheduling consultants' meetings
- Managing the smaller projects on your own
You will deal with all sorts of people from board directors to production or warehousing staff, so you need to be confident on the phone, and able to work with busy people who can be a bit stressed, particularly when going through a software change. You are unflappable and have a calming influence under pressure.
The job will develop into a full project management position, so there is a solid career path, and you'll get lots of training. You will work with very nice people and have lots of support. This is a happy bunch of people in a growing company. Contact Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis.
