Description

Business Analyst - this is an internal role based between Stourbridge and Birmingham, with flexible working, 2 days a week in the office and three days a week, remote from home. This position is with a thriving cloud ERP consultancy, and you would be joining the software implementation team. Your responsibilities will include identifying and managing business requirements through the full software life cycle, to include requirements analysis, gap analysis of as-is and to-be processes, documentation, configuration, user acceptance testing, and demonstrating the results to the key stakeholders, and the implementation and support team.

They are looking for someone who is ambitious, confident, inquisitive, and proactive - you may be early on in your career as a BA, but you are keen to learn and showcase your skills. As the ERP Business Analyst here, you will collaborate with the team, abstract business requirements to existing functionality for new product development on the ERP solution, documenting processes and requirements to ensure smooth workflow, using techniques such as Use Cases, User Stories and Flow Diagrams.

You are adept at using your experience and methods as a Business Analyst to collect, analyse, document, and prioritise requirements, report to, cooperate, facilitate, and negotiate with a wide range of different stakeholders and create workflow diagrams as-is / to-be. You can write up scoping documentation for all workflows and processes, work with the consultants to identify new workflows and processes, and identify, document, and validate solutions gaps in the ERP software. You are brilliant at creating and maintaining user guides and demo scripts and contributing to and reviewing testing scripts with QA team members, and can conduct all business analyst user acceptance testing, and ensure readiness for final Product Owner approval.

Your profile:

  • Educated to degree standard, ideally with a business analysis degree or qualification
  • Good knowledge of ERP, Supply Chain, WMS, Logistics, Distribution or Accounting software
  • Accustomed to using techniques such as use cases, user stories and flow diagrams
  • Proven experience with Agile techniques such as defining user stories and acceptance criteria, story mapping and wire framing
  • Understanding of the software implementation life cycle
  • Thorough grasp of business processes
  • Able to identify and communicate risk
  • A natural ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • High attention to detail, excellent documentation skills
  • Driven, ambitious, and a strategic thinker

If you are a keen, ambitious Business Analyst who understands ERP or similar business application software, and would like to work for a busy, specialist software consultancy and help develop their innovative cloud ERP solutions, get in touch with Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing. You need to be able to get to the Midlands two days a week, so bear that in mind.
