- Description
This busy software company is looking for an ambitious Project Coordinator who has helped to run application software projects. The job is home based but you should be happy to travel to client sites where necessary. More than anything you have a strong desire to learn, and you are looking for a job where you can become a full-blown Project Manager very quickly. You will be able to take on as much responsibility as you want here.
They need a Project Coordinator who has assisted with managing and running projects involving software implementations and is brilliant at planning, scheduling, organising, and keeping things on track. You will be working on projects involving a cloud-native education, accounting, and MIS solution. The software sells incredibly well into the education sector, and they expect their team to grow pretty quickly, bringing career opportunities for you.
You will have a background in project coordination, and will be used to managing diaries, organising meetings, changing everything at the last minute. You will be able to smoothly chase up clients to arrange meetings, or training or follow up with documentation. This would suit a highly organised Project Coordinator, looking for a proper step up, someone who enjoys working in a team and is happy having a "to do list" as long as next week and doesn't get stressed by the pressure of juggling so many things at once.
So you will probably be in the early stages of your project management career in the software field, with some experience of project coordination and an understanding of the principles and execution of good project governance. The job will be working with private schools and education providers, and if you have any knowledge of the education sector, it would be a bonus. You have some understanding of the cycle of software implementation and the problems that are likely to crop up.
You will be chasing up for information, booking time slots, arranging meetings, planning diaries, and organising and following up, and also managing the software project lifecycle, keeping track of risks, budgets and timelines. You will be liaising with clients and pushing things through with them, organising the project plans and keeping everyone on track, working on business requirements and going backwards and forwards through the business process. You need to be a great communicator to do all this.
You will work with stakeholders to plan projects and deal with issues, create project documentation, action the plans, get sign off on project documents and provide status updates to the stakeholders.
You are ambitious and motivated, quite determined, but also empathetic and considerate. Career prospects are outstanding - this job will rapidly grow into a full Project Manager's position so it's a really good opportunity for someone who feels they are ready for that. Great company environment, lots of training and mentoring, and people love working here.
