Remote position for an enthusiastic, savvy Finance Implementation Consultant who has worked with mid-tier ERP or accounting solutions such as Infor, Epicor, Sage X3, IFS, SAP Business One, PS Financials, MS Dynamics Business Central, Coda Dream, Access Dimensions, Maconomy or similar. You are someone who can roll up their sleeves, and get on with the job of functional consulting, and software implementation in a remote, home-based role. Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution or supply chain is also highly desirable.
Package to £70k which will include a bonus. You can be based in England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland, and there will be some travel, but it is fairly limited.
The client: - a brilliant, innovative, highly regarded software consultancy, a small but perfectly formed business of around 45 people, with meaty projects. They have a dozen or more awards to their name, 100% success in every implementation, year on year growth for the past 23 years, and they are ERP gurus. The role is heavily finance based, and they work primarily with manufacturing and distribution companies.
A good mix of functional and business knowledge is required, and accounting and finance are key. They need someone who understands and can talk coherently about some of the following: chart of accounts, general ledger, AP / AR, credits & debits, cost accounting, trial balance, P & L, aged debtors, tax issues, intercompany trading, multi-currency, interest, financial consolidation, and regulatory reporting.
You can run requirements workshops, analyse needs, do the specifications and configuration, implement the software, train the clients, and launch the go-live. Technical skills should include report writing, SQL, and data migration.
Hopefully you have worked with at least two or three mid-tier ERP or accounting solutions doing finance implementation projects and have at least 4 to 5 years in industry and finance. You could be a Professional Services Consultant, Implementation Consultant, or Systems Accountant, or have done multiple finance software implementations at end user sites.
And of course, you are professional, enthusiastic, clever, a brilliant communicator, you can influence decisions, develop positive relationships, work under pressure, and prioritize wisely, and are generally a good all-round, fun person to work with.
